When I met him he was extremely nice and was fairly conversational, although he did seem a little bashful. He does shy away from pictures and even said that he felt like an ass for doing so but he said he was very self-conscious about taking lots of pictures. I know Vinnie and maybe some of the other guys smoke but I'm pretty sure Jesse doesn't.

Jesse's perspective has definitely changed a lot since then. I don't think they're really interested in being the biggest band anymore; it seems they work hard to stay under the radar, actually. Also, I'm not sure how "approachable" Jesse Lacey is nowadays. But, I still adore Brand New.

When i met him he had a cricket in his pocket and when my gf asked to see it he told her to make sure he got it back because it was a gift for vince because he was having family problems. I also asked if he was excited about the following tuesday and he asked why and i told him thats when the devil and god was released. he was like OH i forgot... i guess you have to be a little weird to write such amazing songs.

This is true. I've heard so many horror stories from fans who have met him. I've been a fan since YFW came out, never met him and honestly don't want to. You can't blame him, though. I've seen the girls that go to their shows. A good portion of them are definitely not there for the music. Then you have the ones who think he's the greatest ever, call him a "God" and whatnot. It's a bit creepy. I just hope he knows that not all female Brand New fans are like that.
