@BoondockxSaint Жыл бұрын
Back in 2009 my high school friend and I went on a road trip to Vegas to see Taking Back Sunday at the Hard Rock. We loved a lot of the same songs, but TBS topped that list. We had a falling out later that year, but here I am, in June 13, 2023, still thinking about her. Jenn, if you're out there, Chris still thinks of you whenever he hears any song from TBS's first two albums.

(Lyrics) September never stays this cold Where I come from And you know I'm not one for complaining, But I love the way you'd roll Excuses off the tip of your tongue As I slowly fall apart (slowly, quietly, slowly) Fall apart This won't mean a thing come tomorrow And that's exactly how I'll make it seem Cause I'm still not sleeping, Thinking I've crawled home from worse than this So please, please (please) I'm running out of sympathy (I'm running out of sympathy!) And I never said I'd take this I never said I'd take this lying down She says "Come on, come on, let's just get this over with [Repeat x2] (I never said I'd take this lying down, let's just get this over with, And I've crawled home from worse than this) She says "Come on, come on, let's just get this over with She says "Come on, come on" You always come close but this never comes easy, I still know everything [Repeat x3] You always come so close I still know everything, I still know everything, I still know You always come close but this never comes easy [Repeat x2] You always come, you come in close I never said I'd take this lying down [Repeat x3] But I've crawled home from worse than this If it's not keeping you up nights Then what's the point [Repeat x4] I'm in your room Now is this turning you on Am I turning you on? I'm in your room Are you turned on? I'm on the corner of your bed, I'm practically naked, Are you turned on, Are you turned on?

@ericgermano27933 жыл бұрын
The album tool some time and a lot of touring before it took off. In that time they changed their look drastically. They're going for the thrift shop look that was popular till just shortly after this. It looked good. I could see that coming back. But the way emo kids dressed after this. That whole black clothes and black hair Myspace look was god awful. It was weird to be at shows and take those kids seriously because it was just so ridiculous. I think only late the 90s nu-metal aesthetic was the only thing worse.

A beautiful girl can make you dizzy, Like you've been drinking jack and coke all morning. She can make you feel high, Full of the single greatest commodity known to man: Promise. promise of a better day, promise of a greater hope, promise of a new tommorow. This particular aura, can be found in the gait of a beautiful girl. In her smile, and in her soul. In the way she makes every rotten little thing about life seem like it's gonna be ok.

"SHE SAID, COME COME ON, LET'S GE THIS OVER WITH" Haunts me to this day at 29. Been thru alot of relationships and the last one was a struggle with her mental health. She used that as a crutch and broke me down to nothing as i tried to pick her up. Threatened to not live 4 times and had to pick up the pieces, cats rent, everything while she was gone. Was it manipulation or was she sick? Now im a broken man just listening to music she never understood im lost

I'm so sorry man. I'm currently in a relationship exactly like yours....but I love her so much that I take everything she throws at me and still hold her at night when she's okay again and sorry. I know she doesn't mean the things she says, I have almost all the same mental illnesses she has so I understand and know she's not herself when she gets like that. I always fall so hard for "crazy" people....but at least I have someone who loves me❤
