I'm not sure if it's okay to ask questions here but I recently did a music gig at a yoga studio and the agreement was that we would do a 60/40 split of the door. After the fact, the owner said that I needed to submit a W 9 as an independent contractor. But I that was not our arrangement. Can you comment on the definition of IC in a case like this.
