He's clearly really good, but there are certain things that he did that kinda diminish my enjoyment of the piece. It's better to crescendo into the melody and to sense where the line might be going so you can add proper dynamic contrast. His tone and sound were great, but his volume was a little too constant for a piece this emotive. Also, using embrasure to bend the end of notes is fine in other settings, but I wouldn't do it with this particular song. Although! I really like the way he came at some of the other notes by giving them air and then bending up to the proper tone. It adds kind of an unoffensive jazzy quality. I hope I don't sound over critical. I'm a sax player too and have been playing for a fairly good amount of time considering my age, so I can tell he's got superior technique to mine in some areas. I'd just appreciated even MORE emotion, which is what the sax is all about

+Gregory Black Thanks for the feedback. While I totally agree with you on the approach had I been playing it in a classical style, I was playing it with more of a jazz influence, thus the reason for the bending. The set up I was using is my jazz setup. I have an entirely different setup for my classical performance. Thats awesome that you're a sax player as well. I appreciate the feedback as always, and as you know, being a musician is a never ending journey, and an extra set of sharp ears like yours are always appreciated. Thanks for watching! :)
