@@KATIUSHKACHILE I don’t know anything about the band, but the song falls under a traditional American folk song from that generation. Let’s not mix a bluegrass playing style with the original style.
@kevboeingkins55923 жыл бұрын
@@KATIUSHKACHILE if you want real Bluegrass, search for Bill Monroe and the blue grass boys. He is considered the father of bluegrass movement in America, and the most authentic. Bluegrass originated from the Appalachian mountains. Jug blowing and slap bass are not original instruments used in bluegrass. Guitars, mandolins,washboards,banjos,fiddles, and high tenor voices are the center of this style in my opinion. Backed of course with a strong influence of Christian, and Celtic heritage.

I've said it before,.... but I will say it again... I absolutly LOVE this band . For a modern day blue grass band, they have to be the all around best . Not only is their music great,.... their stage presence makes them fun to watch . I sure hope you guys stay together, and play together for a very long time.... and if you ever come to the Seattle area.... I want to know .

The role of the jug was to provide the bass, when you have a string bass you don't need the jug. In fact, like here, the string bass drowns out the jug.

You can hear the jug in harmony with the cello, if your sound is capable of low range. It isn't designed to 'be heard' so much as it is to add depth of field to the sound of the music and it does a pretty good job.
