So one dotted whole note would equal to tree half notes ?, and one dotted half note would equal to three quarter notes and one dotted quarter note would be equal to three eighth notes so one dotted eighth notes equal to three sixteenth notes ...so the dot tells us to downgrade to the next smaller note value and take three noes of that .. would that be correct “definition “? :)
