It's still a wonder that Lynn Miles isn't as famous as other singer/songwriters. One of the very best of our time. A one-of-a-kind voice and such beautiful lyrics/music.

Outrageous! Any new Lynn Miles posting is heavenly sustenance. My favorite female singer/songwriter from Canada not named Joni Mitchell.

Dear Lynn, I love your voice and music. You came to my house in 1983 [I think it was] when you were just starting out. You were with Gary Comeau and were returning from a recording session in Toronto. You allowed me to hear the songs you'd recorded. I was so impressed and have been watching from afar throughout the years. You so deserve all the success you've enjoyed. Best wishes to you, Don Norman

I absolutely agree. I'm thinking of choosing it as the one to play at my funeral (seriously - although hopefully not for a while yet!)

I had the good fortune to see Lynn sing this song and numerous others a couple of weeks ago at the Echoes of Mariposa show in Orillia. WHAT a great songwriter and singer this woman is! Because of this song and a couple of others I bought her CD "Fall for Beauty", and it's wonderful from beginning to end. She's as good as it gets. We ALL wish we had a fearless heart.

Beautiful arrangement and performance. The mostly-empty whisky bottle on the shelf (1:15) lends nicely to the melancholy atmosphere. Been a follower of Lynn's music since seeing her opening for Bruce Cockburn in Ottawa, just as she was releasing her first record.

Correction: This song is not the Steve Earle tune of the same title. Lynn's Fearless Heart will be a cut on her new album "Fall for Beauty" due for release in September.

This version is far better than the album version which is diluted by the quick tempo and the accompaniment. It just loses the visceral quality that this video has. All Lynn Miles needs is her guitar and her voice and her emotional commitment to the song. The album just turns it into a so so tune.

I totally agree with damcintosh...the album version dilutes this song to just "okay"...the acoustic version here is heartrending and immediate. Why do musicians feel they have to do that to songs? Her voice and her guitar are all Lynn Miles needs, at least for this song. The tempo on the album is far to fast and the song loses its visceral quality.
