Sept. 2023. I was 15 when Honey was released and thought it was sweet but something that. I could never experience Today I was looking at my wife of 29 years, who dresses in mix and match thrift store clothing, and fills our house with plants, and harp music, and a tiny dog 🐕, and is very much the flower child from the 60's. And I pulled up this song, Honey, and slow danced and cried tears of joy that I am so blessed. Thank you Bobby G.

When I was a teenager in the 1960's, Bobby was one of my favorites. I have never heard a song by him that I didn't like. His songs were played a lot back then. They were so romantic and touching. Still love him a lot ❤️.

Someone pass his song to me Honey. His voice is sweet and the way he pronounces the words so clear. I can understand the lyrics very well. What a nice voice he has

I cried all night till dawn whenever I hear HONEY. It's our theme song which my beloved husband had chosen. He passed away just 2 minutes after we had spoken and it was a very painful one because he had not even said goodbye. I was shocked WHY I cried. I realized that death is just a thief, it will come unexpected Now all I treasured are our happy moments together. I love you Honey wherever you are I keep you in my dreams and in my life

With Pen In Hand is such a heartfelt song. I couldn't think of anyone who could sing as nice. Bobby Goldsboro put so many emotions into this song. Sad but beautiful. Simply beautiful.

I would never play Honey on my CD if my brother in law is in the car because the last verse hits too close to home " one day while I was not at home and she was there and all alone the angels came ". That is how it happened with my sister seven years ago.

One of my favorite Bobby Goldsboro songs is one that he never recorded - “For a Little While”. This was a song he wrote as a spur of the moment song as background to the closing scene of “Gator” as the credits rolled. It contains the most important message of life. When I first heard it, I was leaving the theater listening to the lyrics and suddenly stopped in my tracks, sat down and listened to the rest of the song. When I left the theater, I began a search of every record shop I could think of, but no luck! So, I called Bobby at his home and asked if he knew where I could find it. He said, I couldn’t because it was never recorded. He said, as they were shooting that final scene, they decided it needed a song to close it out. So he sat down scribbled one out and sang it himself. It never was recorded! But, that last scene has been preserved on KZbin, listen to it. It’s just listed as the final scene of Gator. It changed my life, it may yours as well. Life is filled with little while moments locked in your memory forever.

For a little while, what a beautiful song, it is so hard for me now to think of a beautiful person who I was, and that I still am in love with and I will always be, and one day, I will find her again, and this time I will never let her slip through my heart like grains of sand on that wind swept beach at Camber, I will never forget that day and we made love in the dunes, I love you Pauline, I hope you’re happy, I will, one day look for you in my life I have many regrets and loosing you will always be the biggest one, I know in my heart that we are not done, and one day we will be together again I’ll hold you in my heart and my arms I’ll look into your eyes and there you’ll see the love, the truth in my soul, I don’t care what it takes, how long it’ll take, and as long as I have breath in my heart, I will come for you, I know you will never probably see this, but maybe somebody out there will know you and say hey, have you seen the you tube Bobby Goldsboro songs and the comments, I’m sure one of them is about you, but I know that is probably not going to happen, I live every day with my memories of us, and I know those memories are not done with, I love you Pauline and in your heart if you look, you’ll see me there, remember all the songs that remind me of you and these songs I have in my heart and I sing them at karaoke, they are my songs of you and I hope that one day I will sing them to you, I miss you so much, and I often wonder if you’re walking past those willow trees remembering the times, and above all, I remember once that you were mine for just a little while, I know you probably never think of me, because you don’t have to, but every day I think of you and how much I miss you and I know it is all up to me to come for you and show you how much I have lost and how much I want you for all time, and that if you search your heart, if you look into your heart you’ll remember me and how great we were, I remember that day we made love in the fields at minster, we drank Prosecco and ate strawberries, we left some strawberries there in that field, and I often think about the strawberries that now grow there, and one day I’ll come, I will never stop looking and thinking and loving you, I can’t do anything about the past, but I can do something about the future and I want it with you, I once made a big mistake, and it’s you that I can’t live without, it’s you that my heart and life wants, it’s you that I want to hold, and look into your soul and heart and you will see how much my love for you is, when that time comes I will sacrifice everything to be with you, I am prepared to do that for you, and if I can’t be with you, I will have made these sacrifices that I can never go back to, let me try again, we had it all, please love me or I’ll die, let me try again, a few lines from let me try again, a frank Sinatra song I do at karaoke, along with many others that are my heart breaking, take care always, be happy always and one day I’ll make you happy and I’ll make you smile I’ll look into your eyes and there you’ll see my soul, my heart and my love that is all yours and until then I’ll always love you, I dream about you so very many nights, you are so often in my dreams and thoughts, I will follow you to the end of time and after that I’ll be forever following you, I don’t know what else I can say to make aware of my heart and you know, if you look into your soul, you know that we are not done, we have a lot of unfinished business with each other, and you’ll see us there, always in my heart and soul, I love you Pauline love, Stuey xx
