My sister passed away in March of 1967 @ 22. I was then her 16 year old brother. I’m now 72 and last surviving member of a Jersey family of six all the other chairs at my boyhood dinner table are empty……..Carolyn would have been 76…….hard to write this? Why am I the last one standing? Bobby Goldsboro has been a member of my family through his music especially “Honey….” Please help me cope with this guilt 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Barbara. I lost my wife to complications of breast cancer on 1 NOV 2002! Still miss her to this day. I never remarried. Didn’t care to get involved again. Now at 67 yrs old, too old to worry about it. There are certain songs that still bring a smile to my face and then the tears come! Can’t Help Falling In Love by Elvis was our favorite! I hope you are doing well!

He's hardly aged, how fortunate as every time I look in the mirror I see my mother! A dried-up wrinkled prune, lol I've always loved this song except it is sad. Funny as I was listening to House of Worship 302 with Marty Goetz tonight and his wife wanted to pray for people and she specifically prayed for the widowed spouses that had lost their better half, that God would comfort them as only He can.

Funny thing is I have been listening to him all my life and only live 34 miles from Dothan Alabama and about 50 to Marianna. I watched his TV shows and he was always making that cricket sound. The guy is a super singer. I cant tell you how many times Ive listened to his songs.

I have loved this song since I was a young lad. This song has so much meaning of true friendship, love, and the sad reality of that love being taken away for no reason far too soon. A love so strong only comes along once in a lifetime, for those fortunate enough to find it. If you do, make the most of it every minute of everyday.

I first heard this the week it hit the radio and loved it and love it still and it still makes me cry - I just can't help it. And Bobby sings it as perfectly now as he did then. What a blessing to watch him sing it again. My aunt died in 1969, killed by a drunk driver and I can't hear this song without going back to that day and the horrible loss and hurt.

I loved Bobby Goldsboro his songs not only told good stories, they also had very good spiritual and philosophical meaning that you could use for life . I also had respect for him as a musician. Being a musician myself I played and sang a lot of his songs . Yes I loved the man.
