Thank you for reacting to Katrina Velarde singing "Anak." I would like to give you the story behind that performance. The arrangement of that song was sang by Sarah Geronimo 9 years ago where she won a prestigious award in Japan. The same arrangement was supposed to be sung by Sarah G. , but unfortunately, she got sick before the concert. So here's the talented lady, Katrina Velarde, who's also part or guest artist for Louie Ocampo's concert. Most probably, they couldn't think of any artist who can learn and rehearse the arrangement day before the concert but KATRINA VELARDE. Yes! She studied the song in less than 24hrs. By the way, apart from that, she also performed "POINT OF NO RETURN" which was the only song she was asked to learn and perform that day. Katrina is really a life saver 🤍

Sir Louie Ocampo is usually the musical arranger when Sarah Geronimo is making covers and concert. I think you remember him when you did a reaction video of Sarah and his husband performing together where Maestro Louie was also the pianist. It was supposed to be performed by Sarah Geronimo who was feeling under the weather a night before the concert of Maestro Louie Ocampo. So, he chosed Katrina to perform the song to replace Sarah Geronimo.
