Katrina has experienced all travails and difficulties before achieving this peak. More is yet to come! She competed in almost 300 amateur singing contests competing against Charice (Jake Zyrus) and Angeline Quinto. She was admited in the X-Factor Philippines during the time of KZ Tandingan. She did not reach the finals. She suffered bell’s palsy when she was pregnant that when she almost gave up her singing career. She bounced back with her regular gigs in Music Hall in some comedy bar. When she was competing in amateur singing contest, she gave up formal schooling and choose to sing because it is the only the means to sustain the living of her family. Her mentor in the X-Factor (the great Gary V.) noticed a great potential on her as powerhouse singer. Now her singing career is being handled by GENESIS owned by Gary V. and family. 2019 is the year of Kat. She will surely soar high. All the travails and tribulation will paid off. Congrats Kat!

Regine knows that the entertainment industry in the Philippines could be so toxic and full of challenges and frustrations. KZ also narrated in one of her videos that two or three years after she won X Factor she almost backed out of the show business and wanted to just go back to her home and pursue her studies because she found the industry to be very overwhelming with all the people's expectations and people wanting her to act, dress, sing a certain way. Regine is telling Kat don't be afraid of all these because success really is a destiny and she believes Katrina is strong enough as a person not to mention full of talent, that Regine is confident that Katrina will be just fine.
