Exactly! the first time i watched this clip I noticed that they really complimented each other. These girls know how to respect! Jessica has her own strengths and Morisette has her own too but they never use it to outsing one another just to prove who is better than the other. They instead respected each others talent! What people don’t understand is that this performance was REHEARSED. It means they got their own parts in the song more specifically on the role they’re more familiar with. There’s no over-shadowing issues or the likes on this performance. Jessica Sanchez was frequently on the lower parts of the song, meaning emotions will be shown there more and her vibratos were great. So stop saying Morissette lacks emotion because the emotion of the song was mainly focused on the lower registers. Moving to Morissette, she got the higher registers under control. They made her close that song with that flying note and hitting those higher notes are flawless as always. They both got some well-executed runs and growls. They both complimented each other. This is a duet. They both did great. The network made a good decision pairing them together over this song.
