3xxxv5 was the name of the instrumental. It is also the name of the album. Take me to the top is the name of the actual song. These guys are masters of their craft. You should check out some of their music jam sessions. They strip down some of their songs. It's amazing to listen. They are definitely a bunch of talented musicians that enjoy what they do. ❤❤

The instrumental at the beginning is "3xxxv5," and the album these tracks are recorded on is 35xxxv. Both are pronounced "thirty-five" (XXXV = 35 in Roman numerals). These two songs are on the album in this order too with 3xxxv5 transitioning into "Take me to the top" in the same way you hear here. The first few tracks on this album transition into each other. "Take me to the top" transitions into "Cry Out," which you should also check out. There's an official video at Ambitions Japan Dome Tour on the band's official channel.

For the recommendation, i recommend "The Beginning" in Eye of the Storm tour. Ps: I edited the intro name coz I don’t know what I was talking about last time lol. 😅🤷‍♀️

OOR's music is really cool in a way that you get to experience many styles within just one song, and most of the time verse2 melody and rhythm is not the same as verse1. And sometimes the bridge comes out from nowhere and so far away from the chorus but they eventually bring it back. Many musicians do it in Japan so maybe as you said, it is a culture thing. But OOR is one of the best in doing that arrangement. Plus the awesome performance! Taka's vocal range really wows everyone. He did Adele's Hello. And he's a guy!☆

Great reaction! Other high-energy songs include "Mighty Long Fall" which has some epic breakdowns (live at Yokohama, 2014: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2jWlqKwgduVftk) and "The Beginning" from their 2020 Eye of the Storm tour. The intro on this song is better in a different performance. It's also much longer and they get to show off longer. But the vocals in this performance is probably better. It's an almost 8 min video in an outdoor concert and I think he had bleached hair. The drummer is awesome, he has his own channel on here.

Fun fact: you actually pronounced the band name correctly too at 13:17 because "One OK Rock" in japanese phonetics would be "wan okrokku" which sounds A LOT like "one o'clock" and that was the time they used to practice so they called the band that but stylized it so that it only sounds like "one o'clock" but written as "One OK Rock" (basically if we say it in english with japanese phonetics it'll be like saying "One O' Croc", so I stick to just saying it the English way with "O.K." or just called em OOR lolol 😅)

The bassist (Ryota) wrote this one, that’s why the bass is so prominent in this song. The songs you’ve listened to so far have yet to show you how amazing Taka’s voice is.
