This performance was dedicated to Haruma, one of his friends in the word chaosmyth. He died a few weeks before the field of wonder concert, that is why Taka has a difficulty holding back his tears here. If you remember when he was rehearsing chaosmyth in the documentary, he said there that he cant sing through his tears.

this was one of the first songs from them I heard, and that made me a fan, over a decade ago, and I always felt personal about it, as it made me think about my friends, who are like family to me. This breaks my hart so much.

They did play it again at their aisa tour last year, but they might not play it a lot again. The reason is that this song was written for 9 of Taka's close friends (each letter of the title is the initial of one friend). And one of them took their own life in 2020 (a few months before this performance). This was performed in memory of him.

This was to mourn the passing of takas friend Haruma Miura. I forgot to mention they recently played it in korea because Taka has many friends there! But i doubt we'll hear it for a while aside from that.

I cried when Haruma passed away and listening to Taka singing this song makes my heart break. Love both of them.

Taka sang this song for his best friend who passed away during the pandemic. One of the letters in the title is his name... Taka's tattoo also has a similar initial. Taka is so emotional that it is difficult for him to sing and he is holding back tears.

This version is so hauntingly beautiful. Not only can you hear the pain in Taka's voice but you can see it on his face as well as Toru's. The Nagisaen version is also incredible. They have a stage in the middle of the crowd for the 3 song acoustic set, and Taka was playing this song on an acoustic guitar by himself. Hearing the entire crowd singing while he plays is truly beautiful. It's very emotional as well, just emotional in it's own way. What really hits you is when the band comes in for the past third of the song. You get a mixture of a striped down version like this and the full band version they played at the Mighty Long Fall tour. Nagisaen is easily their best live show for so many reason.

It's not really such a sad song. However, at this time, it was shortly after the death of a friend who was also in the initials of the title. I'm glad that Taka was able to sing with so much sadness. I thought. I almost cry when I see it now.

Heartbreaking....it brings back all the fear and profound sadness of the time. Then I read that he lost a friend so close to this. I feel his pain. It's so beautiful though.....Thank you for this.

I also want you to see the same field of wonder "We are". It is in Japanese, but speaks of taka's powerful message. 'Please don't die everyone, live!' I cried at Taka's cry of losing his friends and not wanting to lose anyone more 😭

Chaosmyth is definitely one of my favorites when talking about calmer songs of OOR! They do have many unique performances of this song but this one is even more unique indeed! I also do have a request for you to maybe check out. The studio Jam session of Taking Off is a very nice arrangement you have to react to by chance! Your list is probably already full, but I'd be happy seeing you react to that 😊 Cheers John, have a good one 🫶🏼

The CHAOSMYTH live with him playing the guitar alone on stage is beautiful too. If you haven't seen it, let me know and I"ll dig it up!

Loved this performance. Please check out their acoustic performance of "Your Tears Are Mine" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6PCfY2nbKijnbM) if you haven't already-- I'd say it's definitely in the top tier of their power ballads!

I'm a Japanese fan who loves ONEOKROCK. If you have a chance, please leave a reaction to "Open Arms - Journey • Arnel Pineda x Taka (One OK Rock)". At this time, Arnel was 53 years old and had a beautiful voice comparable to TAKA!

I loved Haruma Miura, he was a great actor and singer, very handsome as welI, watched most of his movies (he was Eren Yaeger from Attack on Titan) and tv series, it’s so sad and totally unexpected what happened to him, he and Taka were great friends and a total loss from the acting community

Hi. Can you please react to legendary Russian rock band Kino song Calm night? It's a rock music masterpiece! Maybe you will be surprised so great music you never heard! Lot of bloggers from different countries really like this band and song. Now really interesting your reaction too. From 80s. Album Last hero.

The entire Field of Wonder concert is amazingggg, you should def check it out! I love this rendition of this song, but my favorite is the Nagisaen one, if you remember that one, John. It started out with Taka alone and then the whole band came in later, the crowd singing. Great moment.
