This hit me too. 65 year old and being choked with emotion as I watch this. This comes from Aurora's heart and portrays her genuine love for those around her, even though they maybe flawed in some particular way. Such an emotional and genuine song with the message that Aurora has a place in her world for those of us that may not "fit in" to what is deemed as "normal".

Possibly my favourite Aurora song. This girl is certainly a deep thinker! The concept of the 'different kind of human' came from always hearing people saying when a good person dies that 'the good ones are always taken too soon.' She said she started to imagine that these truly good people suffered by being 'infected' by the bad things in this world and deserved much more. She imagined that what we experience as that person's death is actually the rescue and removal of them from this world by a benevolent race of aliens, to be taken to a much better world where they deserve to be. It's like an afterlife concept. the two 'steps' (the albums, Infections of a different kind, and, A different kind of human,) tell the story of such a person, from their inner thoughts and conflicts in step 1, to their interpretation of the outside world in step 2. I'm always blown away by how Aurora's mind works! ps. If you get a chance, you should find her performance of this song on 'Christine's radio festival.' It's a beautiful acoustic version and it may well be Aurora's most pitch perfect vocal performance ever.

Seeing how intensely moved you were made me cry too. I had watched her sing this song live with her band members not long after her backing vocalist's mother had passed away. It was very poignant that the singer was able to say goodbye to her mother's spirit with this song. Tender, delicate, cradling, understanding of the human condition and striking deep into the heart of our longing to go home. Earth is the classroom, but home is among the stars. Aurora is perfection in human form.

Hi Jeff, "VIERLIVE" is the name of this virtual concert produced in Bergen in the middle of pandemic and shutdown ❤️ The name refers to "we are alive" as much as "we play live", and is a lovely double meaning for the storytelling through the concert and definitely for this song. ✨ Worth noting that here Aurora is at home with her old friends in her hometown. 👍🏻 Many on this production are the same ones who helped create the legendary concert in Nidsrosdomen which also created strong feelings for many. It's beautiful to see that it can be done easily and honestly and yet be so all-consuming, engaging and beautiful. I mean hold up .. empty old theater and us represented with mannequins in the seats is a very creative and brave idea. Love your reaction 👍🏻😉
