Hey Richie! It’s well deserved. It’s obvious how much you and the guys work on your craft both individually and as a band. I’m serious when I say you guys are truly next level in this genre and I’ve lived enough years to say that with authority. After I discovered these guys on my KZbin feed I started playing their music on breaks at our bar band gigs.Everyone was impressed but didn't know what to make of it.Fusion metal?Prog metal?Being a Jeff Beck fan I liked how the guitar's sing instead of shredding scales all over the place.Very tasteful.The drummer is powerhouse & Chick Corea or Jan Hammer got nothin' on this keyboard player.All in all to me it sounds likes the future has arrived.To top it of I heard this band hardly rehearses because they prepare on their workstations in different cities.I say you gotta be f**king kidding me!Most of all the pure joy they exude is refreshing & it's nice to be excited about music again.Thanks Arch Echo.

This album was on my recommended on KZbin several years back (2018 I believe…) and I initially started listening to it and couldn’t quite connect with it, but then this song came up as a single video and I was instantly like 👀 so I started listening and I think they broke my mind lmfao - they’ve been my favourite band to this day haha. Returning, 7 months later 😂 11:35 mark - Progressive rock? Metal? The more labels that are added, the more confusing and distracting it becomes to the music. I think it’s easier just to say… “Progressive”; it’s in-line with the spirit of their music bro, just driving forward, breaking all boundaries, gleefully. If we get technical about it, metal tends to go harder and more technical than rock in most cases, so on that technicality you could say “progressive metal”, but the bluesy stuff that can be found frequently alludes to the more rock-y aspects of it - once again breaking the whole, “(progressive) rock? Metal?” 🤔 Beauty of “prog” is that it can be anything it wants, and do it convincingly, meshing genres together and bringing something new! 💖

your nephew has killer taste in music! :) Man, I love these guys!
@buddystewart20203 жыл бұрын
@@StrateleStudios ...Yup, he and I like a lot of the same stuff, but he leans more to the metal side than I do. I suspect you and I have similar taste. Growing up I was kind of middle of the road rock guy and I also liked old school RnB, Soul, and some pop stuff as well. Then I started really liking the prog rock stuff, Yes, ELP, King Crimson. Then I had someone turn me onto the first Jaco album and it blew my mind. So I went down the jazz fusion rabbit hole, Weather Report, Return to Forever, Brand X. Brand X is still one of my most fav fusion groups to this day, they just didn't sound like anybody else to me. For a while I turned my back on anything that wasn't jazz fusion. Over the years I've self corrected and the pendulum has swung back more to the middle. I mean, I love Steely Dan just as much as I do Dirty Loops or Jaco. Hell, the new Adele song is gorgeous, real singing, real piano playing in an age of canned crap that's out there now.

I'm pretty sure I'm not mistaken, but, is/are those 7 string guitars this guy is playing? The necks look to be a little wider. But I can't get a visual fix on it because they keep moving the camera around and don't let it sit on one person for any extended length of time. LOVED the music!!!!
