You stinkin rock, dude!!! Thank you for the videos!! To answer your question about writing, because it's quite common. We either do skype calls when time allows, or send ideas, riffs, motifs, and such into a shared google folder. Everyone has a really effecient writing method and we bounce ideas off each other until we are satisifed.

I see you’re getting ready to get out on the road with Dream Theater…match made in heaven. Arch Echo, for the most part, go haaaard. This is an example of their other side, where they be slow dancin’ (yet still know how to dial things up to keep things interesting!). Songwriting is interstellar and then some haha. This is why I love them! Thank you lads, my life is 10000x better for you being in it 🥹

Thanks for following my suggestion! I could suggest these guys tracks all day haha... but the thing that I love about this tune is the depth, and emotional impact. You picked up on a lot of the things that I really appreciate. Anyway, I have two more and just for you to enjoy don't feel like you have to react to these but I HIGHLY recommend "My Heart Sometimes" and "Bloom. Enjoy! nice and loud...

You are right, Adam Rafowitz is a fusion guy. I think he and Joey Izzo, the keyboard player , are the main composers of the band. Joey brings the Dream Theater, Rush even Styx (If I'm not wrong) influences. By the way, If you have not listen to Plini, he's a fantastic guitarist you need to know. "Paper Moon", "Electric Sunrise" are just two of his great creations.
@StrateleStudios2 жыл бұрын
Yes! I have Plini on my list I just haven't gotten to him yet. He has some great stuff even from the little bit I've heard.

Paper Moon is outstanding!

The best thing so far about Arch Echo, I think, is the borrowed chords. Most of the songs reacted to on this channel are in straight minor, but in all of them there are a few non diatonic chords. Just enough to make us tilt our head and go "oh that's interesting." And I totally agree with our host. The lead work seems very written, and well written, without it sounding any less organic. We do hear both the proficiency and their melodic vocabulary.

You can really feel when these guys shift tonality but not in an unsettling way…it’s comes off feeling incredibly interesting!

This tune I like! So much different from the first you reacted to. More prog-jazz oriented. I think I will dive into this guys.

Yeah, definitely. The crunch is just warm enough, and the high gain tone isn't overly saturated. It feels like I'm hearing more amp than pedal.
