To clarify on the live part, they performed it live in a studio and then did the "live" performance of it on the bridge. It was during peak covid as a treat to fans, the whole set was fan-voted.

I'm begging for more DGD reactions! Their whole discography is filled with bangers! A few I'd recommend are: Turn Off The Lights, I'm Watching Back To The Future Pt. II, Inspire The Liars, and Chucky VS. The Giant Tortoise! I'd lovr to see you go down the rabbit hole! Also, the intro to this song isn't in the soundtrack version, and this was recorded live!

This was a most unique presentation of a genre which I don't think has a name yet?

They came out with their own genre its called Swancore. Created by the guitarist will swan. It's a mixture of unique guitar riffs and funky break downs

Been around for a long time, but they are probably the pinnacle of their genre. Like others have said, it falls under post hardcore although fans have coined the term swancore.

I probably should have been more specific now that I think of it. I detected some discrepancies between the video and audio so I assumed it wasn’t live. I saw some more footage from this performance (different song) where one of the singers is singing a note and pulls the mic away and the note doesn’t change. I was curious if my assumption was correct and I believe it was. I do believe the performance was definitely originally live but I think they did some clean up. Also I recently saw other live performances from them and they did not sound this “perfect”. So kinda live?

@@StrateleStudios It was a "live" studio session. They then rented out the bridge and shot video for all the songs and stitched the parts together so there's continuity errors in them

@Stratele Studios I've seen these guys live multiple times and can tell you they definitely do not sound like that. not trying to make excuses but that was shortly after their bass player passed away and both drummer and clean vocalist were going thru some heavy drinking and some other stuff we wont get into here
