The band has said that the reason they get knocked for not having a wild stage presence is because they try really hard to make the live show sound as close to the studio as possible.

@@AngryOlive_ definitely for me was the first time i heard the build up after tillian's intro. DGD always did really nice transitions from clean to heavy. But this song diverges from pretty sounding into mayhem so quickly and flawlessly. That drop always hits for me.

The best part of this show was the countdown to start. It was just Jon Mess sitting in his bedroom eating a plate of rice and beans and staring in to his webcam, occasionally petting his cat. My brother and I were dyingggg

My 11 year old noticed they are playing part of the song backwards at the beginning. We had tickets to see them last year and it was canceled. We watched this on our projector with the kids. It was fun! DGD is a favorite in our house.

Matt Mingus the drummer, Jon Mess, the unclean vocalist and Will Swan the lead guitarist have been in the band since the beginning around 2005, their synergy is unparalleled at this point, then Tillian and the Bassist Tim Ferrick joined around the same time in 2013 which coincidentally was when I became a big fan.

I was listening around the Jonny Craig days, lemon mirengue tie I think was the first song I heard, and I kind of fell out of love with this type of music after Happiness came out and middle school ended lol 2 years ago I came back to all the nostalgic bands and music and fuck Tillian blows Jonny and Kurt away. Idk how I like his voice more than Jonny’s because my mind tells me it’s impossible but he’s amazing. So happy they’re still going and getting better over time.

I found this band when I was like 13? Back in 2008, the Kurt Travis era, a lot of people didn't like it, Kurt it still my favorite singer of all time. I'm glad that they picked up Tillian though, he fits perfectly in DGD.

It's awesome to see how dgd went from one of the most unstable (for lack of a better term) bands, with constant line up changes etc. To becoming one of the scenes most consistent band, and a band that releases music so often, I think they definitely deserve their place and any success that comes along with it.

@@MusicShed Sergio Mendia (I think it his name?) covered Tim's part. But the concert was heartbreaking. Tilian couldn't do it. He has a complete mess, crying on stage and unable to sing. They should have postponed it. They couldn't even do the encore because Tilian was not able to. So sad.

I'm from Sacramento and didn't know about them until last year. Spotify autoplayed "Blue Dream" when i was riding my bike and I literally got goosebumps so bad I stopped and sat down in the grass. These guys are awesome 🙌🙌🙌

i love your piano improvisations in the key of any song you react to, it gives me a better grasp of the composition of the song. i have trouble bringing bass and guitar into the same place so when i hear the two voicings put together on piano it really helps me understand general composition
