Yes. One breath! You are not the only one who has been amazed and bemused - astounded and confounded by his incredible breath control and mastery of this, that and all things mere mortals cannot do or aspire to. Of course, if we all began our singing careers at the ages of 5 with a goal of such mastery by diving into our family's swimming pool and holding our breaths for dear life till we couldn't hold it anymore? Then may hap, perhaps we too might achieve what he now does and makes look "easy"?

"Now I'm starting to see what this guy can do". - Again, Not even close....haha. I know your musical background is extensive as I've seen a lot of your other "non-reaction" videos. I too have a musical background (Military trumpet player for 9 years) but not anything close to yours. So now you got drip #2 of Dimash and you're being sucked down a rabbit hole of vocal acrobatics and perfection like you've never heard or seen before. Welcome to becoming a new "Dear" and a fan of the greatest voice in the world to ever cross our ears. When I saw you were doing reaction videos and never heard Dimash before I had to subscribe just so I can join you on your journey. Your reaction and "wow" face are exactly the same as I experienced when I heard Dimash sing. Oh it gets better and better with each song. Imagine being in that audience and getting to hear that live in person. You mentioned his age and being young. I too thought, "How do you get that good so young". I'm so glad we get to hear him in our lifetime. If he ever makes it here to Dallas I will be there front row and center. If you haven't already, it won't take long until you're introducing Dimash to your friends as we all join this journey together. Smiling..."You ain't seen nothing yet".

This was 4 years ago when he was 23/24, he’s just turned 28, May 24th 2022. The next song you should react to is Stranger kzbin.info/www/bejne/onfWc2h-i9OgiaM (at New Wave 2021) You are not going to believe that performance! Then after that react to the same song Stranger kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpnFmJtmpq6mmas (at Super Shine Brothers 2022) This performance is SO, SO different to the above link! Just Incredible! …..and no, I’m happy to say, you still don’t know what he does (nowhere even close)! Every performance, whichever genre (the only genre I’ve not seen him do is Country and Western), will shock you, even if it’s the same song! He’s also a great dancer!

I so glad to see you watching and talking about Dimash! I love his instrument! I am a Dear for sure! When I first came across Dimash "SOS" I feel in love with the unexpected, his voice, his expressions, and his style. I play his music so much that my friends all know him. I started off with his older stuff and keep going forward. I now have been a fan for over 2 years and I was so happy to see his personal KZbin concerts. He is smart by using this platform to share his artistry and now Millions know about him. You will love Stranger, Ava Maria (no words just vowels) which came out this year. He has so much music and so many styles and I'm happy to see you (someone with knowledge of Music and a back ground with music) to hear him and react to someone that we are lucky to hear. I am so proud to be a fan(dear) of his, I hope you go from some of his older songs. I love the 20's Dimash the best! He was great in his teens but you can tell the difference as he grows. 👏👏👏👍👍👍👍🌷🌷🌷💕💕💕 You’re totally right. That was what I call the Olympic gold medal in vocal acrobatics. It’s so difficult yet he does it in ONE single breath! Dimash was born on May 24, 1994. In this video he was 24. That spot you mention is a kind of cultural guttural type of singing. Agree. Everyone keeps saying it’s not humanly possible because no human being has tried doing so before. Dimash has broken the traditional boundaries of singing and expanded the field. Already young children are emulating him.

Glad you did this!! Yes, you can’t predict what he will sing next based on how our years in the trenches have trained our ears and ability to “hear” ahead. It’s not just his ability to be technically masterful, or a true showman who connects with his audience from the stage, it’s also his creativity in his choices/arrangements/writing. It’s easy to just be blown away by how he sings (which no one could match IMO), but when I step back and think about what he sings and why he sings it, well, I am doubly floored. And the best part, he somehow surprises me in each song. I know it will be jaw dropping but I am still surprised. Can’t wait for the next one, Jeff! Oh and yes, that was just under 25 seconds of vocal insanity on one breath.

2 things, one, that was a 27 second run there at the end, two, that man in the white shirt standing and applauding at the end is Igor Krutoy. This was his first time seeing Dimash and went up to him afterword's to ask Dimash if he could compose for him. Igor Krutoy is a famous living Russian composer, Dimash knowing of him accepted, Igor then came out of retirement just to compose for Dimash> Igor is a multi billionaire so he did this for the love of music, not money. They are a power team now and you often will see Igor at the piano playing for Dimash, and most of those times, it was Igor that compose the song Dimash is singing. I imagine Igor hearing Dimash and thinking to himself, "hmm, this young man could sing anything I can dream of putting to music, and do it perfectly."

For "Daybreak" (Bastau performance) 🙏please use this link : kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqOWoY2JidySa9E - it`s a very sensitive song for us, as it`s based on a real life tragic accident that left a child orphaned - Dimash sings from the perspective of the child - this is the only link with a bit of backstory and subtitles - the song is in chinese, and without subtitles, any reaction really doesn`t do justice to the song and performance 🙏 Thank you

Hi there! Please, we need people like you, from inside the music industry to explain this to us! Just tell me what you want to hear and I will lead you! Can I recommend "The Diva Dance" from the Bastau Consert? No man has tried the Fifth Element song before. Tell us what you think of it. Greetings from Greece!
@gogglebox24272 жыл бұрын
He swims underwater to increase his lung capacity. 😲 Yes, slow build up, then... 🔥 Someone else will explain more clearly, but the vibrato is a vocal technique used for funerals. The band A-Studio (also from Kazakhstan) accompanying him, wrote Sinful Passion. Their singer died, and Dimash used the grieving vibrato as a tribute to him. You should watch "Love is like a Dream". But make sure you watch.. Right to the end. There is a false end, which caught some of the audience. 👍

Dimash works very hard at his craft. He is about attaining the best he can be and never stops learning and improving. He swims and is somewhat athletic . Soccer & Taekwando, But most importantly for him it is not the notes or the range but that he sing with all his soul. He is fearless in giving his all and totally committed. Humble, kind and with a heart of gold. Love is Like a Dream Know (New Wave) Stranger 2021 Confessa & Diva Dance Okainside Passione’ Ave Maria (vocalise variation) Too many to list. He has such a variety and some songs are actually sung without the extremes. But his stage presence and ability to captivate are second to none. He’s truly the whole package. And it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. Thanks for your honest reaction. Most enjoyable for this longtime Dear. 💕🇺🇸 Btw....yes that was all one breath. Clocked in somewhere between 22-23 secs.

HOW DIMASH CAME TO BE DIMASH by yours truly, Erik. Written in a moment of Dimash inspired, contemplation and reverie, which I am sure you share with me. To wit. AND THEN, the fateful day arrived when Dimash asked God. "Father, may I please go down to earth for a lifetime and sing for the people there?" God frowned, looked dismayed and sternly said - with dark clouds, thunder ominously sounding and lighting flashing in the background: "You mean, instead of singing for me every morning, night and day, that I will have to do without you, be deprived, made bereft? What about the Celestial Angels? Who's going to teach them how to sing if you aren't here? Do you realize? How much you are asking of me - asking me to give up?" Dimash smiled and said. "Father, you always did have a wonderful sense of humor and knew how to make me smile but, you are too kind, and I unworthy of such high praise yet, needless to say, honored and grateful, but in terms of eternity one lifetime away from You won't seem like that much and don't think I won't miss You too. But, this is important to me. The world's going through a hard time now and maybe I can help with my singing to lighten, lift things and people up a bit. Besides, you can always listen in whenever you wish, as we both know." God replied: "OH, OK! Have things YOUR way but, don't think for a second I'm going to like it!" God said smiling.

Amazing reaction my friend Jeff!!...Dimash is the best male singer of the world....Now I ask you: Have you seen the best female singer of the world?...The passion and dedication when Dimash is performing a song can only be compared with the person who has influenced him to sing leaving everything on stage: His idol, the queen, the incomparable, the Goddess: Lara Fabian....She is a lyric soprano with a amazing vocal range and incredible breath control, which is one of the things that Dimash admires the most about Lara...She speaks 5 languages and sings in more than 15 languages....That's why she is the inspiration for Dimash and several singers around the world...You can see on KZbin covers of her songs made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, Forestella, Sissel Kyrkjebo, Floor Jansen, Diana Navarro, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Lara...Here you have the link of her amazing performance of the song “Je Suis Malade”....kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3m2qp5qiKynq7s

Yup. One breath. Dimash started to tune his ear to perfect pitch in his mothers womb! Both parents are professional singers { so he chose his parents well }. And then he spent a lot of time in his grandparents house, who also sing & play instruments, got him started on various instruments & taught him lots of traditional music. And then he started formal vocal & music training along with general schooling, from age 5. And since then he practices - Daily. Oh and also swims a lot - not just for fitness - but to also maintain/ expand his lung capacity. And, Yes, he keeps surprising us! 😉👍

The piano player was the original composer of the song. The name of the band was A Studio also from his country. The orginal singer for them died in a car accident. The wailing you heard is patterned from a Kazhi funeral dirge in tribute to the orginal singer. Go back and watch this with CC and you will see at the end, the MC tries to compliment Dimash by saying he did a much better job and the orginal singer must be rolling in his grave. Dimash quickly jumps in to give the band all the credit and respect that he felt was due them. Such a class act guy!! React to Stranger please. Dimash has recorded in 14 languages, but that one is in English and features both his lower notes and that Arabic "wailing: sound. Great stuff

Don't know if you are a lyric person or not but you should consider putting closed captions on when you're watching his music that is not in English. Unless you know other languages which of course I don't know about you yet. Most of his performances have at least one video with closed captions.

Ya, I’ll put subtitles in English for the videos that are not in English going forward. 👍

Yes, was that 17s in one breath? And all runs and acrobatics through it. He is remarkable. You know he can go off the top of the piano I suppose? D8. He has done a lot of training of course, but so have thousands of others so there has to because natural skill there.

Thank you for your interesting commentary. I'm glad you mentioned the cello. It is just Divine and is one of the reasons I love this performance more than others. So many great songs to choose from. I'm excited to watch your reactions. Maybe you can check out Love is Like a Dream, or Olimpico next. Dimash was invited to join the Astana Opera but turned it down so he could go his own way. His idols are Michael Jackson, Pavarotti, Lara Fabian to name a few. He has songs that he has written the music for. Mostly pop style. Great fun!

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Just when you think you have an idea of what Dimash can do, he does something else completely new! I've been following him for 5+ years and I'm still astonished by him. I find myself scratching my head and asking myself "How did he get better AGAIN?!" And that happens multiple times a year. The last part of this song that Dimash did indeed sing in one breath was 23 seconds long.

It's like nothing I had ever heard before when I first listened to this song. There's nothing in the west like this kind of music anymore. It reminds me more of musical theatre because he takes you on a journey. The original song is old and Dimash did the arrangements on it to suit his talents. He's a wonderful composer in his own right and is working on his PhD now.
