Rammstein sing about topics that nobody wants to talk about. They polarize and provoke. And they make damn good music with a spectacular live performance. And that's why I'm a huge fan of this band since 1995 (first album: Herzeleid).

Rammstein does do a cover of Depeche Mode’s “stripped” in English and Till also sings in English for some of Lindemann’s songs...Praise Abort and Fish On come to mind (if you react to fish on then get your censors ready). And christoph is a great drummer, he has an absolutely massive drum set up

Yess, nice reaction, thank you! I saw it on patreon but I wanted to wait til I could watch it in peace. Schneider is my favorite, and you're right, he doesn't get enough credit! I like watching him drumming, he always seems so into it. And I also like how good actor he is in their music videos.

Weißes Fleisch (White flesh) Weißes Fleisch is the third single on Rammstein's first album. The song is about the rape of a young woman; after releasing the song, a woman wrote to Till expressing her gratitude that he brought a pressing issue into the spotlight as she herself was raped. She also mentioned that in her culture she was not allowed to even talk about it and Till Lindemann wrote back to her saying that he/Rammstein would be her voice.. I love how Rammstein doesn't shy away from singing about controversial subjects and bringing them to the forefront when most just want to ignore stuff that is horrible but unfortunately does happen.

Talking about lyrics and their meaning it is kind of funny that the song "I dont like mondays" from Boomtown rats, which seems like a party song, is actually about a 16 year old girl who shoot and killed 2 adults and wounded 8 children. As she did that a journalist called her and ask why she did that, yes bizarre!, and she said "Nothing going on, just dont like mondays!"

The Rammstein song “Wiener Blut” is about the worst crime/series of crimes that I’ve ever heard about. I’m torn between hating how excited people get because of the instrumentation and being glad that this evidence of how horrible this man was has been preserved.

Honestly, what really bothers me is that more people seem to be bothered by “Mein Teil”, because the event which inspired that song was consensual, and even if it hadn’t been something that happened between two consenting adults, it still would not be _anywhere near_ as horrifying as the events which inspired “Wiener Blut”.

Yea I remember people saying this song was a white supremacist/skin head song. Because its titled “white skin/flesh’’ thats how stupid people are and yes, 100%.. its the parents fault. Manson and others got blamed for Columbine. I was a freshman in high school when it happened in 99, stuff got stupid. Even to the point of blaming Beavis and Butthead, Ren and Stimpy, and Southpark. They blamed everyone except the teachers and, most importantly, parents

I thought I wouldn't be up for this but luckily I was. All of that bbq talk got me wanting some take out but one of the places I like isn't open for another 3 hours. I've always enjoyed this performance. The way the band moves in unison and gets there own spotlight is wonderful to see. And when my favourite band did a song about pedophilia I was very conflicted because I wasn't exposed to that type of art in music. Luckily now I understand it and can enjoy it

Hi Jim, the title is about a psychopath who kills for sexual motivation and tortures his victim beforehand. Lindemann's texts deal with every kind of sexuality and passion. Sadism and perversity are also topics in Germany that no one writes songs about. He does not glorify it, but only describes it. School massacres like Columbine later took place in Germany. were not a big issue at the time of 1995, when "white meat" emerged.

Till plays a sort-of zombie in “Heirate Mich” as well, so you might wanna check that song out if that’s something you’re into. I think it’s probably my favorite Rammstein song.
