This song had a special meaning to her as it was a period when she was starting her new carer as ‘Tina Turner’ not ‘Ike and Tina Turner’ although music was her first love, this movie came at a good time for her and quite frankly I believe she had alot to do with its success with this theme song. This movie was shot in Australia, her manager was Roger Davies who was Australian, I understand he is also manager for Pink now. ‘Tina’ also was involved in a sporting promotion of Australia’s Rugby League sport to help boost the sports profile and attract females to the game and she did, today there are many female teams to date. Thanks to that campaign which Tina was happy to be apart of. You can find her on KZbin ‘Your simply the best’ Tina Turner and Jimmy Barnes. Tina Bach is what I like to refer to her in her latter days, when she was her happiest 😊❤ surely missed 🙏

You really need to look for her live versions of this. They are even more poweeful than the studio version including the staging and visuals. Notice how loud her voice is when she begins a verse with a hum, mmmmm. Even with her mouth closed there's a vocal volcano there ready to erupt.

I like to think that the film "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" was based on the Duran Duran film "Arena (An Absurd Notion)", which was partly inspired by the two previous Mad Max movies and the film "Barbarella", which the band got their name from the film's villain. Now I want to go and watch Duran Duran's "Wild Boys" music video. It also makes me think of the Jim Steinman "Holding Out for a Hero" song sang by Bonnie Tyler, which I remember from the film "Short Circuit 2".

Nice Tribute to Tina. I must say I prefer Nut bush city Limits but still hell of a song! What a lot of people don't know (especially if you havent seen the first couple of Mad Max Films) is that it's set in Australia, and that it ISNT a post-Apocalypse world; it's current day Australia! :D
