This Woman is a freaking legend. She was 70 years old at this time. F***ing 70. If I look half as good as she does there at that age, I am a damn lucky woman! The costumes are Mad Max inspiered, course she sang this song and played in Mad Max 3! That's how you put on a show, some artist should take some notes. Proud Mary next! Great reaction!

I grew up with that song, her voice was breathtaking already then, I read about her life (losses, gains, hurtings, glories), and she still is a dignified legendary original today. Unbelievable. I've seen dozens and dozens of concerts. By far Tina Turner was the best. Nothing but energy for two and a half hours, great raport with the audience, her pipes never got rusty, and she danced like a maniac.

When the video started, you just hear him go "What??" HAHAHAAHAHA That's the Queen of Rock n' Roll, that's what.... this song is from the third Mad Max, she starred in it too! the only award that movie won from the many nominations (including for this song) was the NAACP for Tina's acting. Not only a terrific singer, but a great actress, may she rest in peace, died on the 24th this month.... she is a goddess.... aside from the obvious talent, there are three great things about Tina: voice, the songs and her legs.....

The studio version was recorded in London with the children's choir from King's House School. One of the kids in the choir grew up to be a famous pro rugby player. In 2017, Tina needed a kidney transplant. Since then she's been using her husband's kidney.

Saw her in Tempe, AZ in a small club near ASU, not long after she resumed touring after parting with Ike. A trio of Ikettes, a band, and that was it. Maybe a hundred folks squeezed into the club. She killed, and I didn't have a camera.

Everyone can improve or can be criticizable but in general she has soul ,great amount of technic , she does vocalism but she "remains in her strings" not aggiunte in italiano or too many sospiri... not a caricature or herself . Class...pure talent , probably i (can be) am wrong in my thaughts of interpreting a piece of music with the voice , It's certainly not my "instrument" the voice but that's it . Yes, as others have said here, this is the main End Credits song to the 1985 Post-Apocalyptic film MAD MAX: Beyond Thunderdome (Mad Max 3) which starred Tina Turner as the main villain. She wore this exact same dress in the film. And all the other supporting dancers and performers for this song are also wear garb that characters in the film wore. This song and film were major hits back in the mid to late 80s. The only part that I didn't like from this performance is that it was lacking one important thing. The children choir. When the part goes "And the children SANG! ...WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER HERO... " it was obviously sang by the children choir and it made that segment much more powerful. Do yourself a favor and go look up the original music video and/or an earlier than 2009 live performance, as I think there's one out there that has the child choir in it. But this 2009 version is pretty bad ass though.
