I think both Jimmy Fallon and James Corden are both genuinely kind to, and interested in, BTS. They don't get that often when they come to the West. As a consequence when BTS agrees to perform for or appear on, their shows they make sure they bring extra. They are going to leave everything on the floor no matter who they perform for but for these two guys... I think they make sure they give more than 200%.

If Bighit ran their company like the western music industry does, we would be getting mediocre performances and they would all be billionaires by now. But with Bighit, and kpop in general, it is quality over profits, but Bighit spreads the wealth with BTS more than the other companies do with their artists.

As some others have said, BTS has a great relationship with Jimmy Fallon and James Corden in the US. Every time they do something with either of those shows, they really bring it. They recreated James Corden's entire set in Korea for another performance, even. The Behind/Bangtan Bombs for this whole week were insane. Some other ARMYs have said it already but BTS really is a whole experience. They're almost like musical theater in a way, in that so much of their music is meant to be performed and experienced, not just listened to. Some recommendations: Outro: Tear from the rapline (lyrics and then live), Airplane Pt. 2, Your Eyes Tell (live, definitely), and My Time by JK. And your puppy is adorable!

Well, that was a very pleasant surprise. You really know your stuff and were able to pick out far more nuances in the piece than I could. Yes, it's the difference in their voices which makes BTS unique as is their use of the rap line to counter the vocals. Other groups have rappers but they don't seem to use them to full advantage as BTS does with RM, SUGA and J-Hope. I shall be looking out for more of your reactions to BTS.

I am surprised to not see anybody recommending the art film version of black swan. It’s a version with strings and absolutely incredible. It is also a stunning mv (with subs) and was the way the song was first presented to us (unless you happened to skip the mv and went straight to spotify).

I believe that is a traditional Korean instrument, rather than a guitar. There is an electric guitar in the mix, but the plucking instrument that you hear throughout the song and most prominently in the beginning, chorus, and ending is a traditional Korean plucked instrument.

An event is determined to be a "Black Swan " if it fufils 3 criteria. First it must come as an unwelcome surprise or shock. Second it must have a major impact which is usually negative. Thirdly, when looking back after the event is over it becomes obvious that it should have been predicted. Written by RM the lyrics are every artist's fear and triumph. Stay well

Hi Jacob, I understand you are a musician and you would be drawn more to the music. I've watched a lot of your BTS reactions and you are now reacting to lyrics as well and I have been nothing but supportive. However, I feel like there is almost literally no point of you reacting to a live performance if you are not actually going to react to the BTS performance. You had zero comment about the performance. You commented on the music which is completely fine but the only comments you made that was not music related was how big the budget they must have spent on Fallon week and how much work they put in. If you are going to do a music reaction then maybe you can listen to their music on youtube, a lyric reaction from doolset , and a live reaction and focus on the actual performance delivery together with the music if you like if they mixed it differently. Why risk possible copyright issues with Fallon or any other third party the performance is from if you're not going to react to the performance. I guess I honestly almost feel like you ignored BTS (like you were reacting to anything in that video but BTS themselves) other than commenting a generic "i like that they have different timbers to their voices" which can be said for any song.

@@JacobRestituto Of course. Keep going! I know you will keep improving as well. I am honestly enjoying your excitement on getting to know BTS work. It is okay to "fanboy" over producers, writers etc as well but don't forget that at the center of it all is BTS. Perhaps comment on how well JHope rides the beat on a certain part where the high hat was clicking or how Jimin's high notes matched well with the crescendo of the music (LOL i dont know) or Jungkook's vocal delivery was conveying the emotions the piano slide was doing. I am making up stuff as obviously I am not quite a musician. Just a lover of performances and art. This way you will learn about BTS members' musicality and talent and I will learn about music and production.

No we are not only listening to the instruments... we are listening to the whole thing as a whole and watching the actual performance... kinda what you do.. it’s pointless to react to a live when you’re not watching it... or talking about the same instrument and not anything about the vocals visuals... and no they didn’t put work in for this show lol this is the same dance they do on any show or live 🙄
