This was amazing! As a small note, the most popular youtube upload of Equinox is very compressed, if you got some free time download the original files (in SPC) and play it on SPCPLAY with every setting set to [HQ] without the low-pass filter, it's a whole different experience. Tim and Geoff use a lot of volume differences in this OST. A nice soundtrack next by the Follins would be Ghouls 'n Ghosts for the C64, it's one of my favourites.

Thank you so much! Really enjoyed this. Your suggestions in the beginning are something, that many people will definetly say yes to, like me :D Also great to see you liked the soundtrack. I listen it from time to time, Atlena was my favourite track before but nowdays i love the overworld track. Ingame when you are in the overworld and hear the theme of it, its so relaxing and amazing. That place has a really cool look and the music adds to it. (I don't own Equinox or Snes in general, but i've seen the game).

Yeah, the boss theme does deserve its own video, as it's the one song everyone remembers from Equinox. You'd especially like the loop point. 😉 Given the ambient/atmospheric nature of the eight level themes, you might need to have a separate video for each of them - or one super-long video with timestamps - to give each of them their proper due given they all take quite a while to loop.

Lovin your content! I think if I were to give a suggestion on any video you could make, I think if you took a look at the music from shovel knight you might really find that interesting. Lots of call-backs to classic games. Tons of bangers.

This game was honestly a great evolution on solstice, but not quite as functionally sound, especially given the slightly clunky combat. overall, however, this game was a king of atmosphere.
