What I love abt Whitney is that she uses the right mix of runs and prolonged notes IMO. It is never too much runs, knows exactly when to use that prolonged note for maximum impact, and doesn't over-sing. She is a master storyteller and I think this is her focus when she sings. She uses her amazing vocal skills to tell the story and share emotion. So it never is abt just her voice but the feeling that she is able to elicit when we hear her.(some artists I feel like they are showing off sometimes with vocal acrobatics but leave me not feeling much) Her every note is filled with emotion and you feel like she's talking to you and sharing the experience with the listener so you're part of the experience esp in her live performances. I think this is shown even in her later yrs when she lost some of her vocal mastery. I remember getting chills watching her sing I Didn't Know My Own Strength or was it I Look To You, I think it was on an Oprah special or something. Would be awesome if you checked that out.

No doubt, she is Whitney Houston "The Greatest Voice of All Time". Many called her as "The Voice" and NO QUESTION FOR THAT. Guiness World recognized her as "The Most Awarded Female-Act of All Time". In every report of who are the best singers of all time, she's always in the list. "If not the best, probably one of the best singers of all time" - Aretha Franklin "The Greatest Voice of All Time" - Baby Face "No one could beat her during the past decades (her prime) , not Mariah, not Celine." - Dianne Sawyer She also influenced some of the greatest legends and to be legends soon such as: Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson, Brandy, Kelly Rowland, Nicki Minaj, Christina Aguillera, Ariana Grande and many more As a big fan of Whitney Houston, kindly react to some of her perfomances that I considered as my top 10 among her best😘😘😘 1. All the Man that I Need (Welcome Home Heroes) 2. One Moment In Time (Grammy Award) 3. Saving All My Love For You (Concert in Japan) 4. In Return (Concert in Japan) 5. A Song For You (Welcome Home Heroes) 6. Didn't We Almost Have It All (New York) 7. I Have Nothing (Concert in South Africa) 8. Home (Live in South Africa) 9. I Will Always Love You (Chile) 10. Greatest Love of All (Arista) Advance thank you and I wish you the best😘😘😘

Of the greats, I find that Whitney has the most beautiful and pleasing voice in it's neutral placement. At base level her voice was the most balanced in timber, weight and clarity to me. We all have favorite aspects of our favorite singer's voice...Mariah's high passages, agility, musicality...Celine's upper belts and detail to emotive storytelling...whitney's raw power and endless ability to sustain. But I think why Whitney is called The Voice...is because her voice, in itself, stands out. Without any other attributes setting her style and technique apart, the sheer sound of her voice stands. apart. The tone of Whitney's voice is what's nearly impossible to replicate. You can mimic her technique, her inflections, her musicality etc but that golden tone is nearly impossible to replicate. I've never hard another singer that sounded like Whitney...while I've heard many singers where I've said "oh, she sounds similar to whitney"...but that tone was unmatched.

She didn't lose her voice that's a ignorant rumor the media ran with she had heart condition so her breaths wasn't the same and she was overworked and smoked but her vocal cords was in perfect condition had she rested quit smoking and trained her vocal coach been said she would've had 95% of her singing back up there. Her coach told Clive the same but the greedy music industry wanted to work her to death.

It's ok but the thing with those huge vocals are that they rarely translate emotions. Beyoncè for example: Stellar vocals with barely any emotions. But that's probably just me
