the concept is inspired by the movie "Volcano High" (화산고, 2001). The intro is actually from "The Leaders" they couldn't put it in this MV

Yeosang is symbol of peace.........when in the kingdom performance start its not "the real" intro..its "the leaders "by ateez too....

6:38 it definitely was more clear, the studio version from kingdom did not really have any korean traditional instruments in the song and this is addition of this traditional sound is what i noticed first when they re-released the real! i absolutely love this heung version more, the first version feels sort of like a good draft and of course mingi’s parts make the song better as well! i really like the use of the members’ dialects, this song feels really unique since it’s an ateez song, but another song won’t exist like this in kpop(little fact: wooyoung was able to say this line since his father’s hometown is in chungcheongdo, he is from gyeonggido)

The intro of the Kingdom performance of "the Real" it's from another Ateez song, called "The Leaders". So it's not part of the song itself, but It was used just for the Kingdom performance. I really recommend you to react to "the Leaders" as well, I'm sure you will love that song.

The opening for "The Real" on Kingdom was a few seconds of "The Leaders" and THAT song was really the one that got me really REALLY into them musically and the kingdom version sealed it for me for them performance wise. I've been so excited for you to hear this ever since you watched the Kingdom. Am so NOT disappointed, the MAMA version is bae. I am so happy that they play this as a closing song because it is so vibrant and an entity of itself (taking a break from the mv storyline to be an epic one off). Thank you for this HS *explodes*

this mv is so good that they really had to put the behind the scenes to it.... did you notice the moment when seonghwa opens the door but it stucks and they burst into laughs.... this is such a good song, i am never gonna get sick of it... the pipeinstrument.... it really reminds me of middle east instrumentation.... its really oriental

If you want to react to The Real's sister title track (and haven't already), it's called Turbulence. It's a totally different vibe. Also, slightly off topic, a youtuber named PawPaw made a atiny-loved song out of Ateez memes if you want something a bit more lighthearted and more focused on their personalities.
