This was one of the most requested songs on our Patreon page, and boy are we glad this won. Being 4 years old, it out-passes many current songs in creativity and daring approach. The genre, the mix of old and new, the lyrics and the rhythm & sources...everything is a surprise with this one!

Dreamcatcher reminding you of ATEEZ isn't too surprising since they share some producers with them. Dreamcatcher has been doing this sound since their debut with "Chase Me" which mixes Rock, J-Rock, and sometimes Metal with K-Pop. Personally I think you should check out "Boca" and "Odd Eye" next since they finish up the trilogy that Scream is apart of.

Their new song Justice is awesome. Deju Vu Boca Odd eye are some of my favorites from them. Dreamcatcher and Ateez share producers if I remember correctly

Dreamcatcher - “Good Night”, “You and I”, “Piri”, “Deja Vu”, “Boca”, “Odd Eye”, “BEcause”, “Vision” is a good list of title tracks and will show the progression in sound. Their other songs consist of ballads, island, R&B, jazz, dark trap, electronic, house, city pop, arena rock, metal for the Japanese songs and so on and so on.

Dreamcatcher is incredible! I really hope you fall in love with them and review more of their music. Scream, Boca and Odd Eye are a trilogy about bullying, Piri is about mental health, Maison is about global warming... they hit on so many important issues.

They have some of the best choreo and musicianship in girl groups. I would HIGHLY recommend watching their live performances and dance practice videos.

Every Dreamcatcher title track features some kind of fusion with a rock/metal sound since the beginning; they have been loyal to the concept and fans that way. Their vocals are out of this world, every one of them. Currently their main vocal is on a hiatus and it's the main dancer filling in for the G5 belts in their new song. You will have a great time with the new song Justice (5 of the 7 members get belts during the chorus and that's not even the showing off part 😃). Scream is part one of the Dystopia trilogy followed by Boca and Odd Eye. The other trilogy is Apocalypse trilogy, Maison, Vision, Bon Voyage.

They actually share half of Ateez producers...probably Eden love Leez & Ollounder work in Dreamcatcher discography so he ask them to join Edenary team to produce ATEEZ songs...

From the members of Eden-ary productions, only Eden himself is not involved because he is under an exclusivity contract with KQ. Every other producer (Leez, Ollounder, Maddox, Oliv, Peperoni, Door, Tankzzo) have been involved with both groups.

@@pichejf ehm... i am not sure about the exclusive contract of Eden, maybe he's just too busy or not his area (DREAMCATCHER's music) because I know he sometime helping hyunsik make BTOB's songs. i mean if because his contract make him can't write song for other groups.

@@micchisusane4476 Those were all produced before 2018 when he signed his contract. The last track he worked on for BTOB and Hyunsik was Beautiful pain. The only other track since then that was not a KQ track was Youhna's Beautiful pain, which he could have asked for an exception on since she's not an idol.

Their vocals are so strong, I genuienly believe that Siyeon is one of the best female vocalists at the moment, and the other's are all very good too. Other comments have probably pointed this out, but just in case: DC dropped a new mini album yesterday, title track "JUSTICE." During "SCREAM" promotions, one member (Handong) was absent due to performing on a reality show in China. Unfortunately, due to COVID, she got stuck there for the next comeback, "BOCA," as well. In this MV, they have one of the dancers standing in for Handong wearing a mask. "SCREAM" is the beginning of trilogy we call the Dystopia trilogy, which focuses on anti-cyberbulling. The next song is "BOCA," followed by "ODD EYE."

Scream got me hooked on Dreamcatcher when it came out :D It's the first part of a trilogy of MVs, with 'Boca' and 'Odd Eye' being the next parts. The storyline is commentary on/speaking out against hate comments on social media. Some other songs you should check out are Deja Vu, though their entire discography is amazing. Looking forward to more!

DC very often has multiple videos combined into a series. Nightmare arc: From debut (Chase me) to piri. (alternate ending: breaking out japanese release) the Dystopia Trilogy: Scream, Boca, Odd Eye. the apocalypse trilogy with Maison, Vision, Bon Voyage.. and the newest series with OOTD and Justice. what i love about DC is that they manage to combine genres that should never work together and clash horribly,.. into a cohesive sound that makes a new genre. They have literaly songs for every genre. from jazzy, funky, via balads to rock, metal, edm, psytrance. industrial,.. you call it, they did it.

Thanks for checking out Dreamcatcher and welcome to the Dreamworld! They're a very unique group in K-Pop as they always incorporate rock & metal instrumentals in their title tracks. However, their b-sides though cover tons of other genres like R&B, EDM, Funk, Pop, Jazz, Reggae, Rock, and much more. I HIGHLY recommend checking out their full discography at some point as their b-sides are as good if not better than their title tracks. Scream is the first part of their Dystopia Trilogy which is about online bullying, hate speech, and how social media is a sweet lie covering up darker truths. Scream is probably their least rock influenced track and has more of a mainstream sound. It's got some light guitars and has the heaviness associated with rock but it's mostly synth. All of their other titles and some b-sides will have more rock influence with a few being straight up hard rock or metal songs. If you want to continue the Dystopia trilogy the follow up songs are Boca (which means mouth in Spanish) and Odd Eye. It sounds like you're already planning to check out Justice and the new mini album Virtuous. It's fantastic and all of the b-sides are great. I have a feeling that the B-side 2 Rings will have a special clip (performance video) soon given that it has Choreo. They've also released showcase version for both Justice and Two Rings that have live vocals if you care about hearing them perform live. Siyeon, the main vocalist, is sitting out the promotions due to health reasons so two of the other vocalists cover her lines in the songs and they do an amazing job. Enjoy the journey, they're a fantastic group with amazing music and amazing members.

If you like to see their j-rock side have a look at Endless Night which was produced by Kuboty who also provided the guitar and bass parts, and Coldrain's Katsuma who provided the drum parts. There is also a b-side called Don't Light My Fire which is really good. They've pretty much wrapped up any attempts to break into the Japanese market, instead focusing on domestic and a wider global audience. Personally I think they tried to be too j-rock for the Japanese market which already has a lot of groups doing that, but it's still interesting that tracks like those exist for us.

For most shocking of all songs that Dreamcatcher gave, I would probably give it to their 'BOCA'. That song seriously shocked me to nearly death LMAO I'm telling about the music aspect though. I have never heard this kind of music transition that abrupt but they did it like so slippery smooth.

And yes for dreamcatcher and ateez used to share the same producers until leez eventually left for another company around a year ago. In the right order, you should follow up with boca and finally odd eye

well, the main producers of DREAMCATCHER are members of edenary, ATEEZ producers team. that's why at some part it sounds similar. i bet the rock sounds of ATEEZ come from ollounder and leez (before he out), DREAMCATCHER's main producers. ah i hope DREAMCATCHER and ATEEZ will have collab in the near future.

There are a lot of people who recommend you the newest comeback, and I say - don't rush it. Yes it is insanely good and revolutionary. But consider to check their earlier works before that. Might as well start from the debut, "Chase Me", and the order of releases is easily googleable. They have no bad songs and more than one masterpiece.

It's not really new rock scene to K-pop. There is a veteran duo rock male group called NORAZO， they do mainly rock too and their singing skill and stage presence is really awesome as well but Dreamcatcher is the first K-pop group that being invited to the rock festival Primavera Sound though, and it was the very first time they had the private jet by the event organizer to take them straight to the venue due to unpredicted circumstance incident of flight canceled =O
