This was his 1 guest appearance on Singer 2018. He also had a guest appearance in Singer 2019 doing the Queen medley with Super Vocal Boys. You can see Dimash playing on Singer 2017 Episode 6 playing piano to start. Episode 7 Daididau he plays the Dombra. Episode 13 duet with Laure tribute to MJ he plays a little on drums and the music video for Screaming he plays piano on screen and drums in the backup track. And in A Question Of Honour he plays Grand piano a little at the start but it doesn't show his face, only clothes & fingers. 🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓

This was a guest performance on "I am Singer", the year after he competed on said show. Jessie J was competing that year and there is a video of her getting ready to perform next and watching Dimash sing this song. She is amazed and has great comments about the performance. Dimash was quoted soon after competing the previous year that he wanted to spread more of the Kazakh culture to the rest of the World. That is when he started emphasizing "Eastern" touches to a lot of his performances and concerts.

What's wrong if he just add bit of his unique style in a cover ? Cover is not something you just copied from someone it has to be but unique so you don't bore the audience and people who listens to you .. I felt like the inclusion of the traditional flute lent to the idea of like maybe he's out in the hills singing quietly, then he cries out in the traditional Kazakh way 'Hello!' and it echoes in the hills....like Jews and Muslims still do in their call to prayers...there was also some throat singing accompanying him which y'all missed. So cool - East meets West music like when Sting collaborated with Cheb Mami in Desert Rose.

Hi guys, I watch your videos over and over again they’re so funny and so sweet. I know you get a lot of comments so you might’ve heard this before but on the singers shows the contestants have to sing covers and do it in their own style I believe they’re allowed to sing one original song. I don’t know if you’ve listened to the 2019 singer competition but Dimash was invited back as a guest and he sang a medley of Queen songs with the super vocal boys. It is one of my favorites

I totally enjoyed the traditional Kazakh style flute and how it was arranged with Dimash's singing. Dimash came on to do this performance as a guest. This is the season after the one where he competed. Others were also invited from other seasons. None wanted to sing after him so he sang last. He sings 'I love you' in English, Mandarin, and Kazakh. No it is not a track. This is from 'The Singer' show and they have excellent background singers. Dimash can wear anything and look great. He has model proportions and is 6/3". Жаль, что вчера Диарсы упустили первое место на MTV US. Было заметно меньше реквестов, чем в прошлые пятницы. Особенно к концу . This is the Singer competition, however it's 2018 and Dimash is simply performing here, as many former contestants do. Also, I think the wooden flute gives an Asian vibe that ties into the melismas.

Yes, the "flute" really creates a mystical athmosphere in this song and supports beautifully his vocals. Eastern influence is very strong: eastern melismas Dimash is singing, throath singing in the background and a "flute", Kazakh traditional instument sybyzgy. Dimash loves to incorporate his own culture's instruments to his performances (dombra, kobyz etc). He uses also an Armenian flute duduk in 'Know' and 'Aqquim'.

Dimash was back as a guest for the charity concert following Singer 2018, so it wasn't a competition format. You ought to check out one of the contestants from that year, Hua Chenyu (second in Singer 2018, winner in Singer 2020), who can be seen in the Green Room; he's quite an interesting artist. Dimash was a contestant in Singer 2017. I recommend Nunchucks. BTW Sean's Peruvian flute could still be authentic as the Amazon does flow through there.
