Welcome back to Lovebites ! All the way back to 2017, this was one of their very first official songs as a band. In fact, Asami introduces this track as their "debut song" in their LIVE shows.

Don't Bite The Dust” was one of the songs on their major label debut mini-album, LOVEBITES EP, and the music video was released before their debut. At that time, Miyako was not yet a full member of the band, but a support guitarist under the name Mi-Ya, and it was one of their earliest works.

Nice to see you back in the wolves' den, and nice reaction to the song that started the journey of my favourite band. I've never heard you say anything about comparing yourselves to lovebites, so I wouldn't take any notice of them comments. Different styles and different genres. Yourselves as a band are pretty good, and as a 3 piece band, for that genre, it's a difficult task, so kudos to you. Lovebites are just different, and have their own unique sound, lovebites metal is their own. See you on the next one 🤘🎤🎸🥁🐺

This is my favorite version of this song. Everyone is on point here, especially Asami doing that vocalise at the end. I love her staggering back to the drum kit once Midori starts her solo. It appears that Asami is just being goofy there, but who knows. I like it when they play this song because they bring a sense of fun, personality, and identity to it that I think a lot of their music in general could use.

Hi guys, welcome back on the Lovebites train. I always find your reactions very entertaining and informative, coming from a musicians' standpoint! Please keep them coming! In case you're interested, one of the bands Lovebites draws inspiration from and Haruna is a fan of, Helloween, just released some great videos from their 2023 show at the Budokan in Toyko, including "Eagle fly free" - you already reacted to Lovebites covering this song. Incidentally, Helloween started out in 1984 as a four-piece with Kai Hansen on vocals and guitar, until he found it too strenuous to do both a live shows, so they decided to get themselves a new vocalist and found Michael Kiske.

Great reaction guys! No one compares to Lovebites imho, at least in this genre, so I don't know where the other comments you mention are coming from. It's totally ok to make comments in a reaction even if it isn't something you're playing, so don't mind all that. I appreciate your reactions and I'm sure a lot of us do! Great song, this one. Asami is off the charts, that drum intro was amazing and great guitars and bass as always.

Don't Bite the Dust is the first single from the 1st EP LOVEBITES. This song is a banger. And the live version is great. They've played with so much energy. I❤them. like you said LOVEBITES inspiration is IRON MAIDEN. you can use all those knowledge about Japonese metal & punk band as inspiration for you own music. It's not forbidden. They're so many.

This song is from "Heavy metal never dies - Live in Tokyo 2021", concert held on March 26 at Tokyo Dome City. Available in digital, cd, dvd and blu ray format. They did this concert under severe restrictions because of the covid. So the crowd can only clap and the capacity was only 50%. Please subscribe to their channel (if you haven't) The setlist is: 01. I think the commenter with the SF 49er icon goes by pinoypower69 should at least apologize and delete his original comments from his criticism, that would be fair and just. It's not always about asserting what is better; it's about what types of music and styles resonate with you. Some people just need to understand that. Asami-san the singer is very good LIVE performance vocalist! Their LIVE versions are often better than studio versions. I prefer the studio version of this song which is rare. She sings the last high note without taking a breather on studio version. But、she is really professional vocalist. She prepares amazing vocal arrangements for LIVE tours. It’s great approach like R J Dio!. You can often hear amazing voices from these two that are even better than the studio versions.

4 top notch Jedi master musicians/ composer having millions of other vocalist to choose from. And with Lovebites compositions and its inherent complexity of time signatures, they chose Asami for her musical qualities as the front person. Being a Lovebites member for a period approaching a decade, I guess its best for the women reactor go seek better clarity by asking the Lovebites members themselves why they love Asami.......
