Musicians react to hearing NEMOPHILA / ZEN [Official Live Video]!

Tamu wasn't just a KZbinr. She hosted a drum based program, toured Asia giving clinics on drumming and has been a Tama endorsed musician for years. Before Nemophila she was one of the most sought out session drummers in Tokyo, playing on projects ranging from Jazz, Pop, Prog and Rock. She's classically trained on the piano and also plays sax, bass and guitar. She once auditioned for a spot on a "making the band" project created by Maximum The Hormone, just as a way to meet the band for her show, and the band was shocked and honored that the "real Tamu Murata" was in front of them auditioning, especially Nao Kawakita who was humbled to hear Tamu was inspired to pick up the sticks after realizing it was a girl playing drums for MTH, and they even joked Nao was now famous and that revelation should be added to her Wikipedia page. All the ladies of Nemophila were accomplished musicians before forming the band. Hazuki is an Ibanez endorsed technical wizard showing Vai like chops on her Ibanez promo videos. Saki has been a major player in the Japanese metal/guitar scene for over a decade and is the only musician with a Killer brand signature guitar (Killer was co-created by Akira Takasaki of Loudness and distributed by ESP). Haraguchi-san is an extremely versatile song writer, showcased in songs like "Hypnosis", "Style" and "Zen". The ladies of Nemophila are all professional musicians who just happen to enjoy playing metal. As far as "Zen" goes this video is a lot more raw than the studio recording imo.

I like Nemophila cover of Sugar from the KZbin Free concert 23/10/1 at 9:00 in. It is the performance that inspired them to release a more polished single with edits on Friday the 13th. The "KZbin live free concert 23/10/1" is more! more raw and aggressive the single is for your mom. 😊

You will be both happy and sad to hear that when Mayu was asked what direction her band would take in the future had a reply. "Are you guys going to do more hard harsh songs or more ballads and softer songs. Mayu simply said both. Band-Maid and Lovebites share similar ideas. They refuse to be pigeonholed into just one genre which ultimately limits the artist. My three favorite bands working today are Band-Maid, Lovebites and Nemophila. Their presentation and music are unique enough for each band to shine individually. I would love a tour with the three acts but Lovebites is just coming to the US for their first time next year at Prog Rock. Also Band-Maid and Nemophila are signed to Live Nation while Lovebites is not. Like Miku says the goal is to take over the world with music. And since the world is a huge place naturally you are going to see a wide range of songs and stylings from all three.

Yeah, this one isn't poppy, lol. This song just kicks butt. 🤘🤘. They have done a lot of covers . Another recent one that you didn't mention is Pantera's Walk. And a couple Iron Maiden covers are older, The Trooper and Aces high. And more originals, try Oiran (official live) or Raitei (music video or official live).
