It is admirable to see DPA so young and yet serious about their music; this shows how dedication and professionalism pays off, also seeing Luis and Moni supporting them not only as parents but also part of the team this is memorable, thank you for putting this up guys.

It's nice to have this record of their early performances to compare to where they are today. They may be the best-documented Rock band in history. It's also remarkable how similar their singing voices were back then.

As I recall the story, someone next to them at this event was spray painting, or something. The fumes drifted over to them and Ale was feeling a little nauseous. That is why Mom came over to give her a hug at the beginning of the video. Looks like it worked. Fun Fact: Eighteen months later they were opening for Def Leppard in Mexico City.

Ok, I’m counting that as an Ale bass (& vocal) solo 🤣. Looked like the tech was balancing levels between the bass effects at the cab or something. Hit a pedal & adjust a knob on the amp. But it’s all voodoo to me. Also might have been an early Ale trick with the vocals, sing it higher for sound check so for the show she is quieter in the mix😉 Now (in one Japan video anyway) she just cups her hands around the mic😂. The life of an introvert😊

Great! Great reaction! Thanks Glenn and Adrian!

This concert has been misidentifed for years. It was sponsored by the Center for Solidarity and Philanthropy of the University de Monterrey (UDEM) but it was held in their home town of San Pedro Garza Garcia, in front of the San Pedro Auditorium. They were playing an after-event concert for the 1000+ Juniors from local high schools who were attending a meeting that warned them about the dangers of gangs and drugs, and provided them with training and education consultants. For sceptics, the event is reported in detail in the 2016-04-08 online edition of El Norte, author Félix Barrón, title "Participan jóvenes en #YoloVivo". In this video the auditorium comes into view at 2:30 and 7:50, and it can easily be identifed with Google Street View. The green sign between two heads shows an out-of-focus "Yo Lo Vivo". Also, the sound-tech guy in dark green T-shirt is Jake Carmona, the sound engineer who recorded their EP and first two albums.

It's worth mentioning for non-mexicans that San Pedro Garza García, while a different municipality, it's part of Monterrey metro area. Part of the metropolitan zone but politically and administratively independent.

The large guy in orange shirt is Luis Villareal. The bespectacled guy helping the girls with pedal boards is Jake Carmona - the producer of Escape the Mind & XXI Century Blood. Looks like that this was one of those few occasions where Pablo Gonzales wasn't around. Pau said in 2017 TEDx that they took a long time to make their 1st LP. So 2016 was their year of composing XXI Century Blood. They did play some songs including the eponymous title track at this show before releasing these in 2017.

This is such a time capsule gem of DPA. You can tell that at this early stage in there career Luis and Moni must've been reaching out to as many local and community resources to give the girls as much exposure. Not sure if Moni or Luis studied at Universidad de Monterrey, but l am sure they had a lot of supporters that did. Fan fact Monterrey has some of the best Universities and Technology institutions in México.
@MrSudeepdas20 сағат бұрын
@@javierornelas3558 True. Time capsule indeed. There is another one during the launch of Indian motorbikes (from USA) in Monterrey. Luis, Mony, Pablo & Jake must have explored every available channel to get exposure for the girls. Apparently getting permission for little Ale to play in bars & night clubs used to be a problem in those early days.

Amazing. When Dany starts belting acapella and Ale and Pau get their levels correct I always wonder if they hear a reference note. If they don’t, yet still sing on pitch with such incredible unison it demonstrates just how connected they are not just to each other but to the music. That is astounding.

Thanks for the reaction. It was interesting to see their parent's involvement with soundchecks in those early days. I was really impressed with how nice Ale's voice sounded when it was amplified a bit more.

Once again I will urge you to react to their storytelling concert at Agua Fria in 2018. Nobody has reacted to this show which is a wealth of information. The girls talked about their journey in between playing songs from the 1st album. Hate received, approaches from big houses, story behind some of the songs, etc. It was also the show where Ale sang in public for the 1st time. The Warning Army KZbin channel has this concert as a playlist including their practice session the day before and a Q&A session in the end. They have also put in English captions for non-Spanish speaking fans like us.
