In the full concert video, Dany calls the orchestra back out as they’re leaving to thank them and make sure they get their recognition they deserve. Just another example of what type of character they have. A lot of artists don’t even acknowledge additional support at their shows.

That 'moment' was SO needed. And yet Pau is the consummate professional so the show must go on. Watch her face during this. You can almost feel the release of all the nerves, anxiety, sadness, and fear. And the sisters killed it. I'll just bet mom and dad were choked up for quite a while after Breathe like the rest of us.

Aloha Cheezy, the first time I watched Black Holes/Breathe, I noticed that Pau was playing an electric keyboard that was sitting on top of the real piano keys. Later, someone vlogged that the piano they used was empty of any strings, soundboard, and other parts...to keep the weight down so to be easier to move it on and off stage. Especially if you have to lift it over any cables. I believe this is why the pause between Breathe and ES is as short as it is. As for this version of ES, I give mucho kudos to the person that arranged the string section! Just stunning!

​@@elvwoodIt's not about additional talent. Without Alessia who was asked first by Metallica, the whole project of TW's cover would never have happened. That's also why TW always mentioned her name when playing this song during the Mayday and Error tours. They have a reason to be grateful towards her.

This was the video that got me hooked on The Warning. I was following Alessia and she posted on IG. I checked it out, then watched other videos from that same concert, and down the rabbit hole I went!

First reactor to make the link between the start of the strings and the end of Pau's Breathe. Watching live it was 90 seconds. Just enough time to wipe her face, quick hug and run to her kit. Unreal.

Truth was Dany & Ale was back stage while Pau performed Black Holes (w/ string assemble) & Breathe. After Pau's standing bow after Breathe. The Fan Cam video showed Pau headed back to her drum kit while 5 stage hands removed the piano. *PAU DID NOT GO BACKSTAGE UNTIL DANY DID HER SOLO LATER IN THE SHOW.*

@@kevinthetruckdriver353 might wanna take another look at the full video. Pau definitely goes back stage and is not even at her kit when the strings are playing the intro. She only gets to her kit AFTER the bass and guitar start up. Clearly visible as her kit is lit up when she gets there.

There's a BTS video that shows TW at an AC show in an arena. She's a "bigger" star than they are (but that's changing). Getting her to a show might be a scheduling adventure. I had hoped that, when Metallica played two stadium shows in Montreal with a day off in between, that they would visit TW who played in Montreal on their night off, but no luck.

reimagined *Enter Sandman* DPA/TW and Alessia Cara certainly understood the assignment! Alessia Cara is a Grammy winning Canadian Pop and R&B singer... they had 10 days to rip this rendition of *Enter Sandman* from the ether and make it a darker, more eerie, and a more haunting lullaby than the original metal version... they made the deadline and they made an OMV for it to boot! this reimagining of *Enter Sandman* was done because they, and many other artists from numerous genres, were invited by Metallica to take one of the songs from the original _"Black"_ album, keep the lyrics and change it up how ever you like... play it backwards, upside down, whatever... this was all for the 30th anniversary of the _"Black"_ album... all the submissions from 50someodd artists were put on the 2021 _"The Metallica Blacklist"_ album... the proceeds from the album sales are split 50/50 with half going to Metallica's "All Within My Hands Foundation" and the other half being donated to a charity of the participating artists' choice. in the OMV, Dany (guitar) and Alessia share the lead vocals until they are in the three doorways when Dany takes over and Alessia does more of the background oooohs and aaaahs... the version they play in concert has Dany doing the vocals with a backing track of Alessia's ohhhs and ahhhs... of course Ale (bass) and Pau (drums) join in with their angelic harmonies in both... this is a fantastic reimagining of the iconic original... the performances at their "Big 3" 10th Anniversary shows, in Oct 2023, are astounding with the 10-piece string section from Monterrey, DPA/TW's home town... the string section came out to join Pau on her solo keyboard performance of *Black Holes* and stayed for *Enter Sandman* ... i like their lead-in to ES while the stage was being cleared of the piano and other equipment from Pau's solo performance... they do add a lot more to the song, too... especially the dissonance at the end 😜 this 60+ year old rocker loves this reimagining of *Enter Sandman* by TW and Alessia and it gets a lot more airtime these days 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

When Metallica asked bands to create their own cover of Enter Sandman, it seems the only request was to not change the lyrics. Go wild with the arrangement of the song, but the words stay the same. I love The Warning's cover, and in my opinion it was a good thing to put the iconic riff at the end. You're waiting through the song to hear it, and it hits you at the end🤘

I would like if Pau or Ale did the prayer to give Dany a small break and to provide a contrast in the vocals. This is the first time wirh string orchestra. Metallica did a concert it with the San Francisco Orchestra in the early 2000's. They also drop the guitar solo and put in the ascending 3 part recitative which is more prevalent in the studio recording.

This remake of Enter Sandman will forever be known as a The Warning song. Nothing against Alessia, but I just don´t understand why she was needed in the first place. I know it sounds harsh, but I bet no one even thought of Alessia when The Warning was performing this song live in this concert. The idea of using an orchestra for this song was Rudy´s. The idea was genius, it made the performance epic! The orchestra members on stage (all female) were from a conservatory from Monterrey.

Alessia was the artist invited by Metallica, and that's why the album credits list her first. She had no rock experience so her management team, 21 Entertainment, reached out to another of their clients, TW, to assist her.

As someone else commented, they performed this live with Alessia at the Troubadour in Hollywood in 2022. Honestly, surprisingly, she didn't sing all that well, and she appeared REALLY awkward and uncomfortable. Her performance enthusiasm seemed forced and disingenuous. Happy New Year!
