Phil... Cameron is my man at Danville Music, I'll wear their shirt tonight as a secret between you and me! It's my go to local Mom & Pop Shop. . I've done numerous videos there… awesome selection of PRS...and more... also a Suhr dealer as well They have G&Ls, Taylor , Orange, Supro, and consignment stuff that's awesome. Like Milkman amps, etc... lots of awesome stuff there. Cameron hooked me up with getting my Meteora's crappy nut replaced with 0 a finely cut and polished bone nut by their luthier… one of the best stores in the San Francisco Bay area if you ask me! 😎🤘🎸❤️🔥

I actually do think John would care if you sent him a message saying you got it. He's a really genuine guy and I think he takes feedback very seriously, especially from people he respects and have shown him courtesy.. I've had the pleasure of talking to him a couple times and he was just such a nice and warm guy.

This is awesome Phil! I used to have the sterling JP150 got rid of it because I didn't care for the pickups and used to accidentally flip the switch when picking. Miss that guitar, but lucky have some great ones now. Enjoy the guitar Phil you deserve it!

Those pickups in clean mode are heavenly-sounding.......I do remember that Petrucci said years ago regarding the controls that his hated how traditional strats always had the volume knob literally right beside the high 'E' string and how easy it was to roll the volume off by accident. That's why the controls are at the very bottom of the body,...so that the volume control is out of the way while playing.

Whoa! Very cool axe there Phil. I gotta say that I have been watching your videos for several years now and I find your content has been the most consistent out of all the channels I subscribe too. I even have a first gen know your gear shirt and yes you even put my picture at the end of one of your videos - super cool. Anyway, I really liked how you did this personal video. The guitar looks great. Excellent color and finish. The flames are top notch. I also was very impressed with the huge variety of tones that it offers. Honestly, in some instances a guitar can offer so many varieties of sound that it almost looses it’s own identity. Not the case here. This one gave lots a variations on the same theme which I think is another highlight of this guitar. I know you will enjoy it. I think it was an excellent purchase and i was surprised when you said since one guitar came into the collection that one of the others needed to go. I have lived by the same rule almost my whole musical career. Gear for gear baby. So plug that beast into something driven and break in that neck! Congrats on the guitar Phil! i own a JP6 Koa, another JP6 in mystic dream and JP13-7 string and im not even a huge fan of Petrucci but IMO Music MAn makes some of the best mass produce guitars on the market.

Sick axe, sir! Looks and sounds fantastic! The Music Man Petrucci signatures are really well crafted and well thought out in terms of ergonomics and controls. I picked up a 6-string Majesty in Enchanted Forest back in 2020 and don't regret it one bit - it does pretty much everything I ask of it and more! If it wasn't for the Majesty, I'm not sure I would've ever bought anything other than a Les Paul or variation thereof (I love my LPs). Anyway, any chance of a follow-up video on your JP15 after the honeymoon period is over? Be interesting to see how it measures up once you've had a chance to sit with it for a while.

I’m glad you got one of these. I got the 6 string version during lockdown. I love everything about the guitar apart from the pickups. They are great for metal but I find them too compressed to use the guitar for everything that I play (clean sounds). Would be keen to hear your thoughts…
