Dimash sings not only neo-classics, but also pop songs, which, at first glance, seem much simpler and easier. But Dimash makes his pop songs of very high quality. In addition to the music and voice, the meaning and message of the song is very important. Some viewers realized that this song shows the modern world on Earth, where people live in the matrix of globalization. They dress almost the same way, behave almost identically, think almost the same way. The dancers show this well in their crowd dance. Dimash stands apart from the dancers. He dreams of freedom from the system. Listen to the words. He calls his girlfriend to fly with him to freedom. But no one can break out of this world system. It's a very deep meaning, despite the fact that it's a pop song in the style of Michael Jackson. Many people liked the song.

Dimash presented this new song "Fly away" here, at the International Competition of Young Performers "New Wave-2021" in Sochi, Russia. This song animates you to dance ... but also listen to the lyrics and see the choreography of the dancers that goes with it ... brilliant. The song for Dimash was written by Kazakh authors and adressed to the young people: Letting go of all problems and differences and opens the way to freedom and soul search. Song writer Yedilzhan Gabbasov, who has been in music industry for more than twenty years, he said “Inspiration came to me one quiet evening when a tune suddenly turned up in my head. I started humming it out loud and immediately thought of Dimash’s voice. And then, I realized that I would really like him to be the one to sing that song,”. Jordan Arakelyan, the author of the lyrics to such Dimash’s hits as “Give Me Your Love” and “Be With Me”, also shared how the work on the new track went: “Dimash always says in advance what a song should be about and he puts the meaning in it. When he’s singing the demos, I can hear certain words, even if Dimash’s singing without any lyrics. The new song “Fly away” is about spiritual and creative freedom and also freedom of thought.” (Dimashnews) - Backstage after performance - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zn6lmYmogLyJa80

THANK YOU for pointing out to my fellow Dears that autotune is not a bad thing! So many of them have been in denial for so long about Dimash's use---just like virtually every other musical entertainer of the day--of autotune and lip synching as if those were negative aspects of his performances. Your acknowledgment that they only add to and improve what are already spectacular performances are helpful in enlightening those who don't hear or understand the concept of audio enhancement. By the way, as I type this, "Fly Away" is the #2 song on Billboard's Hot Trending Songs Chart which is compiled daily based on the number of tweets that mention it on Twitter. "Be With Me" is there, too---at #6. Twitter users can keep him there by tweeting Dimash's name and those song titles as many times as possible every day. Just be sure to use a hashtag in front of each title.

I fully agree with your comment (and with MTR's comment of course) on autotune. The issue is that some YT reactors use this autotune to make views without any analyses and say that Dimash's voice is fake and modified with this tool with title like "Is Dimash's voice modified"? etc.. This is probably why it has a bad reputation and creates aggressive reactions when it is mentioned. It is therefore so nice to hear a real and clear comment about autotune! Like you, I thank MTR for this (and also for the rest of the review, much appreciated!)

Dimash always does the unexpected. We have come to expect a “Dimash” ending, so this time he didn’t give us one. As for auto tune to give “color” to his voice. I would be surprised if Dimash would bother to do that. He can do so much with his voice all by himself, which is what his whole aim is all about. He is such a perfectionist I would think he would view it as a failure to use technology to enhance anything. Maybe he does but I would think it would go against his ethics. He has gone to great lengths to keep developing his voice naturally it would defeat the purpose.
@lolawants20083 жыл бұрын
There’s definitely intentionally obvious effects on his voice, whether that’s considered auto tune or not I don’t know, it doesn’t sound the same as the intentional auto tune I know of but I’m not an expert. I do know however he really has spent a lot of efforts & has mastered a sort of live internal effects of breathiness & smoothness to his vocals that makes him sound synthesized even more

Using autotune as a texture thing is different from saying Dimash uses autotune because he can't sing high notes or certain techniques that he uses. Ha, I was thinking of Eurovision literally a few seconds before you mentioned it in the video! I wonder if there was something specific either in the song or happening at the stage just before that that triggered the thought at that point, or if the timing was just a coincidence. On the whole I liked the sound of this song more than most of his others I've seen this far. I feel like he used his voice here at the exactly right moments to actually make the song sound better, not just to use his whole range and strength. He seemed connected to what he was saying, which in my opinion made this more powerful than many of the more technical and serious ones, even if this is basically just Euro pop.

Yes, reverb so creatively used with Dimash. In his Stranger performance in Beijing recently, I don't know....but I wonder if his personal sound team was NOT with him, because all the reverb effects that were employed here for Stranger, AM and FA....WAS NOT used in Beijing....just the mic....except when he went to the head voice vocalize section, some reverb....but clearly ALL the carefully applied effects and delays that were used in Stranger at this event were NOT used in Beijing.

I'm one of those people who gets their hackles up when I hear 'autotune' but I think what you meant by this is maybe something like what Cher did with 'Believe'. Is that what you were talking about - getting a kind of synthesized vocal sound?
@TheMuserResolute3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! This is a good example and one of the most famous firsts of auto tune being used. It’s an effect to give the vocals a more electronic sound. Auto tune’s use is not to correct pitch

@@TheMuserResolute Pegasus meint: Autotune`s is to correct pitch. Und alle, die meinen, dass Dimash nicht singen kann, stürzen sich auf diese Meinung, um Dimash zu diskreditieren.
@CheyenneCoxen3 жыл бұрын
@@teresaz-l2963 Yes, autotune got a bad reputation because singers who couldn't really sing, would use autotune. Those people forget autotune can do other things. It's like saying a TV can only play one channel. I don't know if you understand me. Sorry, my German is not that good. I only know that this particular reactor did not in any way try to discredit Dimash. In fact, he admired the way that particular autotune function was used. Peace from South Africa.

Добрый день. Вы правильно отметили что это три совершенно разные композиции. На этот счет есть размышления на ютуб канале " Байки из мавзолея". Канал многоязычный. Если интересна эта тема, можете заглянуть....👋

Dimash is a singer at a level where he can afford to sing without autotune.There are many videos on youtube where he sings live, without a backing track.
@TheMuserResolute2 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 Autotune has nothing to do with assisting singers. We know Dimash is technically proficient. As explained in the video here, autotune is a technology which is used to create a tone colour (timbre) effect which cannot be made by humans. It’s a compositional device

@@TheMuserResolute well said! Dimash absolutely does Not need Auto-tune... but yes Dimash absolutely 100% does use it..... the Irony is that the Wave-Length machine Proves D uses it.... but Also Proves how Astonishing & historical Dimash's Crazy talent is! I attached the Link below.... Remarkable! Auto-Tune Wave-Length Machine Content Link........ kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXPOaHWkfqZkaMU

Thank you for what you've said about auto tune! We're pointing out the reason why there's auto tune in some parts of some of his songs and they don't get it! Well, they get it but they're so jealous to admit it! Next time I'll send them the link of your video. Thank you!

You’re welcome. Unfortunately there are still a few in the comment who are in denial. Maybe Dimash will come out one day and set them straight. Auto tune is so mis understood

@@TheMuserResolute Since there are some reactors making videos trying to bring down Dimash saying he uses auto tune or he's lipsinging, Dears love Dimash so much and they will try to protect him no matter what!
