An excellent idea to go through the whole Wacken 2013 performance by them. Especially by someone with some musical knowledge. Despite the fact we have already seen some of your reaction/analysis from this particular show. There's always few "sneaks" to discover. 😉👍 Thinking what a Huge load Floor must have had on her shoulders to perform for the biggest audience by far on her career. As well the whole group(+crew) must have had some 'weights hanging on' since Nightwish was the first time a headliner at Wacken Open Air, the biggest Metal festival on Earth. Then being able to execute an opener track with this quality and realizing with all of their senses: "DÄÄÄMMM guys, this goes pretty freakin well"... Rest of the show is pumped full of electrifying energy and became ever memorable for them and for every spectator from there on... Well Done sir!!! Cheers from Finland 🇫🇮 🥶 💯 💙

Nightwish , Ladies and Gentlemen !!! They have opened the Valhalla gates , and now the Valkyrie Goddess walks among us 🤘🤩🤘!!! This is one of three great openings from them ("Dark Chest Of Wonders", "Shudder Before The Beautiful" and now "Music" intro followed by "Noise" ). She joined this tour when they were in the US and later South America(2012), and hadn’t recorded and released any new music with her yet. Needless to say, she won them over immediately, capturing their souls from the getgo and not letting go for 15 songs. Nuff Said !!!! And new subscriber ! Nightwish Shadow Unit from Estonia 🤘😎🤘.

@@TheMuserResolute See? This is why I love your videos. I have been listening to this song for 18 years and I never picked up on that change. So that's why it finally feels more "complete," for lack of a better word, at the end of the song? Man, I'm so glad you're doing Wacken.
@TheMuserResolute2 жыл бұрын
Thanks 😊 yup, it really mirrors the uncertainty of opening that chest, with the first two times resolving on a minor chord (feelings of apprehension and fear), and the last time resolving on a major chord (hope for the future) on “open the chest once more”. It may have still felt somewhat complete if still using a minor chord, but I think this was very intentional to shift the feelings from apprehension to hope. It feels complete in the sense that the final time we hear it, the Dark Chest of Wonders is no longer associated with negative feelings (to be subjective)

@@Klojum Sure. But I think this approach (having a playlist) is better than a URL to a single video that can be blocked/removed at any given moment. (I've commented multiple times to reactors with a URL to a full concert video that is no more. The playlist will stay up even if all its videos were removed. Also, the playlist can have videos published by anyone. The only critical issue with the playlist is keeping it updated.

The world has plenty of vocal coach reactors, but only a few ever touch on the music theory that goes into some of these great performances. Whether it be Nightwish, Dimash, Diana, etc, there does seem to be a pattern with great singers and good musical compositions being... necessarily accompanying (for a lack of a better phrasing). Keep it up!

Never noticed that major chord before. They do something similar at the start of Poet and the Pendulum (D minor to D major).... you also hear it the third part of Poet (The Pacific)
@mariodriessen97402 жыл бұрын
This is slightly different though. In this case it resolves into a D major chord, instead of its relative minor, which would be B minor. It happens all the time, but it sounds good, which is probably the reason why it happens all the time. 😊
