A great tip. I do this thing all the time. The opposite also works: if I want a bit more fullness, I'll use a low tom or bass drum sound to enhance the lower attack.

Quick alternative to Transform at 2:10 - select all the notes, then double-click the MIDI In button in the P.R. editor, then play the note you want them all on. They'll all take on that pitch and velocity.
