Hey friends!!! First, thank you all so much for helping correct us with the name pronunciations- we were trying too hard to sound Swedish, apparently. Once again, we had an AWESOME time learning this VERY HIGHLY requested song. Thanks, everyone for the terrific suggestion, and to Melli for sponsoring the LOOPIFIED rabbit hole for us to run down!!!

@@musikbyjh Its impossible to pronounce Swedish words and names when you do not know the language very well. For example the letter I in Swedish is pronounced as the letter E does in English. Å Ä and Ö don't make it much easier either. 😂 When Swedes speak English, it doesn't sound very nice at all. We call it Swenglish.

@@SaraJfai "Swenglish!", LOL!! So great! Thank you for your grace. We are pretty well traveled, and both speak different languages, but definitely failed at our three gents' names. All good, we are happy to course correct and carry on!! ❤🥷🏻

Oh My Goodness! The sound is so rich!!! It definitely has a gospel sound at times. I actually got goosebumps on this one. Love all the messing around, the harmonies, the high notes sung. Can’t say enough…yes, it’s dirty!!!! Then there’s more! So many genres in this song. Please read the credits. I can’t read it on my phone, especially when I enlarge the text. This I will share with my sister. She will love it too! Loved listening to y’all today. What a song!!! 🎶 Cyd

Flight case = obviously true story! Also, I really liked this video. Thanks for a good job! Surprised you did not comment more on the gospel side of the song. Many say “they are taking us to church”. Also, the piano part at the end, people often refer to classical music and some Russian composer. There seems to be a ton once influences and styles in this one. I have no clue, but others seems to have even two clues.

Melli is doing the damn thing, thanks a bunch again Melli!! 🙏 This song is fire, especially when you start listening to it without looking at the vid. I play that Phoenix CD when I’m on the road, cranking it up, and honestly, the amount of stuff you hear when there’s no distraction…. 😱 Not only Jonah’s vocals (Michael Wonder ☺️), -ALL of the thousands of them -, Henrik’s slapped subdivisions and runs, this insanely funky groove he lays down here, but also Aron’s fills and pocket… and who knows, he might’ve written a lot of Henrik’s bass lines… Put ‘Bass Magazine, Songified, Interview with Henrik Linder’ into your search engine, and you’ll get some super interesting information on the writing and recording of this song. (Lotta often puts a whole excerpt of it into her comments. I hope she’ll be doing it here as well! ☺️✌️) Yeah, these fools aren’t gigantic yet, and definitely their music, on the whole, appeals more to a niche audience, although their concerts are often packed. In an interview with Jeff Castenon, on his YT channel ‘Stratele Studios’, Jonah said that they don’t care about going mainstream, but rather go even more ‘niche’ if they felt like it. Their music isn’t easily put into one or two boxes and it’s kinda become it’s own loopified genre. As Matt said, highly technical. Musically complex stuff wrapped in a shiny pop package (someone else’s words :) There also is a video where Jonah shows us his process of laying down multiple vocals. It’s for his cover of “Bad”, another mindblowing piece from his solo album. Their process of writing music, to me is totally fascinating. Then their chops…. And you guys haven’t heard a single song from their first album “Loopified” yet! A trove of treasures still waiting for y’all ☺️ Please, also take a look at their series of four instrumental tracks called ‘Songs For Lovers’. Mainly Henrik and Aron blowing your minds, smiling all the while 😱 Then there is their collab with rhythm guitarist Cory Wong, with such numbers as “Thriller” and more 🔥🔥🔥 Thanks again Melli, and thanks you guys for another reaction to my fave band! ☺️🤘✌️👍🙏

None of my "non musician friends" know them (but since I've mentioned them time and time again for the last 10+ years every chance I get I think they're starting to have an idea that they exist...). About the credits: When they said that Andreas had been eaten by their previous dietitian - in the credits for Work shit out, Jabba the Hut is listed as their dietitian. Meaning Andreas is the one with the bikini in Star Wars, not Leia :) The people mentioned as SPDS technicians are all Norwegian. First a bunch of cross country skiers (like Petter Northug), then the crown princess of Norway, the Ylvis brothers - you know about them - and some other mixed famous norwegians. There's a lot more in there as well, but I thought you'd enjoy the information.
