The power utility in particular must have found solutions to the massive network scale-up problems that are bedevilling the AI Supercomputer world, and Musk himself must have liked those solutions. EVERYTHING "more than a car company", is being removed by Musk. Tesla could POWER this xAI facility .. but the location was chosen for cheap Utility electricity. The majority of Tennessee's electricity is produced by coal.

You got it. See my comment earlier. These locals and politicians don’t know any better though. So they hear AI and think that they will somehow see some tangible benifit. But the reality is…just like most of these tech companies..most (if not all) of the benifit will go towards Elon and xAI, and the locals won’t see anything, in fact, they will be left with extra problems

Didn't you get the memo? Tesla is doing a hard pivot to making general purpose robots, robotaxis, and artificial general intelligence. I don't know how someone would be able to hijack a robot Taxi for whatever the reason they would try to even do such a thing, but whatever. The good news is, this will bring billions of dollars to the city which is sorely needed. PS: No car thief in existence tries to steal a Tesla. They are notoriously difficult to hijack or steal.
