Sriram Krishnan was into crypto development over the last few years (just see his latest videos). Krishnan being AI czar, is really about pushing crypto deregulation. So this is a real reason to be suspicious of Krishnan's appointment. X intends to start handling crypto in payment, but it requires approval for each state. Tesla holds a billion in crypto, what a boon for Tesla should this happen. And there are significant barriers to this between U.S. states, so I am sure the reason for pushing this appointment is create Federal regulation to prevent states from controlling this very volatile investment currency. States have always had rights in regards to investments, in order to protect investors and consumers, so this appointment is all about pushing crypto, and maybe making several hundred billion off of it.
