Man I miss my childhood. Hours of walking the river catching turtles & snakes.

Great to watch a video of yours again! I recently visited a creek streaming through an oak woodland but unfortunately Italy has no turtle species that inhabits cold, fast running bodies of water :/

Wouldn't guess they'd eat acorns, interesting.

This time of year, they go acorn crazy. You’ll find them munching right where they drop into the creek

Where is this place please? As a European, I envy you Americans for your wild animals!😤🥰

Man, I’m surprised you are still finding them out there. All my musks in my little pond have been MIA for like a month, and I’m in SoCal. Those stinkpots are a trip. No shortage of personality and attitude. I have one little fella that rules the roost. Bully’s some of the painted turtles twice it’s size when it’s feeding time

Do the loggerheads ever hybridize with the common musk?
@GregsTurtleHaven2 жыл бұрын
I have never seen or encountered that. Generally they partition habitat and have no reason to hybridize

Are there any issues with feeding baby turtles frozen fish or shrimp from a grocery store that have sodium in them?

Your weather seems warm for a fall afternoon. It's already in the 30s where I'm at.

Cool Fall vibe Greg. I never knew loggerheads would eat acorns like ASTs do. How did that water snake manage the madtom?
