I started trapping muskrats almost 60 years ago, and I still love catching them. Unfortunately the population here is so low I hate to trap them. Thanks for sharing this great video and I can't wait to see more of them.

I had one run infront of the truck while i was driving on the freeway. Takes me back to 1976 with Captain and Tennile Muskrat Love. Love the canoe.

I like to stake my colony traps with a piece of lathe. I put it off to one side in the center, so it does not interfere with the action of the doors. Also, I like to wrap a piece of flagging around the lathe making them super easy to locate when I have lots of them out.

Nice video I went hard on the beavers line and picked up 20 muskrats 24 beaver and my first black beaver which are very scarce in Pittsburgh area! I will be on the line checking traps with you on Saturday. Thanks

Huge fan of the #160s for rats. It is nice they extended the season for you all but I would worry about lost gear to spring floods. Especially in the mud like this...See ya next week!👍

Yes, absolutely, it is used in several lures..muskrat, racoon, fox, coyote lures...
