A lot of gold nuggets of information in this one. I especially like Jeff's intentional use of different rod lengths to keep his down rod, long rod, and planner board rods spread. The use of weights AND a 6 ft. lead to manage weeds and keep your presentations running clean is imperative on weedy lakes. The speed at different times of the season is a great guideline and like Jeff says on any given day let the fish dictate the finer details. Another Team Rhino gem!

He was asked about tips for a beginner of musky fishing and he goes on to describe a 6 rod program lol

+Lumber City Woodworking yes 6 rods might not be the most basic. In that case you'd be best to run just 2 downrods and add additional rods as explained in the 6 rod setup

very nice! good info right there on the trolling speeds, especially into the fall as water temps drop, I wouldn't have guessed 3.5 @ water temps below 50-55. very informative. thanks again

Great Video--Could you comment on your drag settings when trolling please?
@TeamRhinoOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Sorry we've been away from our channel. I would say the drag is moderately tight. Meaning a bait won't pull line out but I can definitely pull the line out by hand. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching

I really wish you would have touched on how much line you typically have out with certain lures and what depths you are trying to target and why.
@TeamRhinoOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
+Jake Keyes this will be talked about in a future video for sure. I think we even talk about depths and what we are targeting on next weeks video. Thank you for watching.

My rods are loose in my salty holders, it looks like the butt ends of your rods are way thicker. Is that a sleeve you have on them or just thicker butt ends?

Sorry for the long delay on this reply. We haven't been real active on KZbin lately. They are the Chaos Tackle Original Trolling/Live bait rods. They are definitely wider

I skunk out when i go trolling.. Does it have anything to do with me trolling with a Tohatsu 18 hp 2 stroke?? Just wondering.
@TeamRhinoOutdoors5 жыл бұрын
+kaneda956 I wouldn’t think so. It’s usually about speed and depth of the lure. Try being in the 3 to 5 mph range and don’t run your baits extremely deep. Hope that helps

Awesome vid!! another option for keeping weeds off your baits is whiskers seakers. They are kick ass. Fishing in lake st Clair, you can get tons and tons of weeds. Not with these you don’t
