Eagle was tough for us this past August. A ton of follows, no bites. Great video Brian.

@MrSeanWesty Oh believe me, I say that to my buddy all the time when these stupid things are kicking our butts!

Ok...Brian. With this experience, what would you say contributed to the lack of bites? Weather, color, action, pressure, or use of sonar? Interested parties are asking.

@approachingtarget.4503 I think the biggest factor would be time year. I know some very well-respected musky fishing veterans, Spence Petros being one of them, that avoid Eagle that time of year that we typically take our late summer trip. We have had, for the most part, good luck on this trip. But lately, it seems to be tipping to the "not so productive" side of the ledger. If you hit it right, it's great. If the timing is off, you get a trip like this one.

Just throwing this out there for a video idea… go over your eagle lake chart and show us where you like to fish and why😏😏 maybe show some waypoints! But serious explain what makes you fish weeds in late summer and deeper rocks and what makes you decide on either one if that makes sense

That goddamn outer turn on the eight drives me nuts. Usually I hang them there and either get a hit or it just side eyes the damn lure as it swims off.

@leelohff4210 Me too! Especially when they're not hitting it like they're supposed to! 😅

I fished Eagle Lake in July. 2 guys, 3 days, Stayed at Temple Bay Lodge, hired a guide from Temple Bay Lodge. 1 follow, Zero bites, zero musky. Very disappointing. .

I left an @AnglingAnarchy comment for you on your 54 or Bust interview. I hope you saw it. I enjoyed the video. Now, to watch this one... and leave another comment later to help the algorithm. 😊

Don't feel bad. I've had the muskies flip me the middle fin in Canada more often than not. 😢 I'm stealing that line, flipped the middle fin. 😂😂😂

@thelonesomefisherman7425 I did see that comment, and i appreciate it very much! These darn fish are going to be the death of me some day! (Or at the very least, drive me absolutely crazy!)

@AnglingAnarchy I thought that tidbit of information about spawning twice fit nicely with your discussion about finding early season fish out on the reefs, having spawning scars. Yeah... don't feel to bad. You're not the first, nor will you be the last person that muskies flip the middle fin to and drive completely bonkers.
