He first appointed his nephew Muhammad bin naef as crown prince and his son mbs deputy crown price and in 2018 he dismissed Bin naef and promoted his son to crown prince.

As much my experience and observation, it will be a little bit injustice to compare Islamic Republic of Iran with Kingdom of Saudia Arabia. Iran has Islamic system and a faqeeh mujtaheed rules the country while on the other hand Saudi kings have no relation with Islam. Why people always try to think Sudia kings as muslim leader? A muslim leader should be a person who has more knowledge about islam and islamic values than rest of the people as like in Iran. In Iran, Imam Khamenie have more islamic knowledge and commands on islamic values, but in Saudia mujtahedeen are generally arrested so that they don't raise voice against kingdomship.
