I remember reading a historical article that explained how a particular muslim leader in the dark ages ordered that all Qurans were to be destroyed and that he would create one standard Quran by bringing the varying qurans into one, in addition there were these guys in the different Muslim armies, who would be the religious motivators for these Muslim soldiers that knew the Quran by heart and this leader had them put to death so they would not point out that this new standardised Quran was different from the Qurans that these men had learnt since childhood… it was from a couple of German historians who were specialists in Medieval Islam and the Middle East…. I wish I could remember the source….. but that was the gist of it and the evidence from contemporaries of the time all gave the same story of how there were so many variations of the Quran… even then…..!

Most likely you are talking about "inarah de" (saarbrücken school), but I've never heard about a story when Muslim were killed because they memorized another Version. However, the editing of the Quran is quiet intereting and until the 10th century there were Versions of the text that were then rooted out. (we know about becaue islamic scholars wrote about) But still there are different Variants of the same text wich either has transmiion Errors or intentionalchange by a scholar. Hatoon Tash bought over 30 diferent Qurans still in Print in modern times. The Variations are not grounhaking but they are there.

Caliph Uthman collected and burned all collected copies of the Korans in 655AD . Why did he do this? He wanted to standardize all copies but he failed to collect all copies. In 1924 the Egyptians throw all copies into the Nile and restandardized the copies. In 1917 the Islamic world realized that they books were opposite to the Bible and had a great dilemma. They we forced to state that the Bible was changed but they cannot tell when Was it before Muhammeds death or after his death. So actually, the difference between "multiple translations" of the Bible and "multiple versions" of the Quran is that there is no way to authenticate the true Quran, whereas the Bible has several different features that allow us to objectively identify the correct version of the Bible, even wuen presented with mutiple "versions" or "translations". The Muslim guy has sort of the right idea when it comes to there being "70+" versions and only one is true, but in his case the only way to "decide" or "figure out" which is the true Quran is to trust in his own beliefs and understanding; the problem with this is that two equally good people can have two different understandings. The difference with the Bible is that there are features such as ELS codes and structural cyphers (if you don't know what these are, think "puzzles", "crosswords" and "riddles") that all break apart if you alter a passage, a word, or even a letter. That means that, even 3000 years in, we can take a "version" of the Bible back to its root (the actual physical copies of the old scrolls and parchments that it was translated from) and easily spot changes. If you want to get deeper into this, you can explore issues like the Targums and Septuagints and also Jewish theological history.

WHY do Muslims keep saying Christians worship idols 🙄 We do not prostrate to a statue or the Cross. Christians Worship God through Christ Jesus in Spirit whom we have not seen. Yes there are people who pray to a statues but that's not Christianity. Muslims pray 5x towards a Stone in mecca. They MUST go to it , walk arou d 7 times and kiss it like Muhammad did. Sam I was watching some of your older videos and I have a question. In the past you have referred to the NIV translation of the Bible as the "Not Inspired Version" and in reference to the KJV you said "If it doesn't have the king on it, it doesn't have the king in it". CHRISTIANS should only follow one Holy Scripture, that they can see the original Hebrew and Greek words shown within it. Concordance. Any other books are not meant to be used though read and can change the true original meaning of what was written.
