In 1000 years some archeologist will be like: these structures that took so much time and effort to create in such a remote location must be evidence of some sort of religious belief. Some have postulated that it may even be a sun and stars map as the pillars can be shown to align with various planets and equinox points…

I literally live in this Valley ! My Grandmother always told me how she played with the tools and Machines the soldiers left behind as a Kid, and that the farmers would pawn every Metal out of those bunkers they could find!! It is just amazing how many amazing Bunkers there are in the whole Valley about 70km in depth, there are Hundreds of them and also there was an Anti Tank ditch about 3km in lengh wich was slowly filled up by farmers after the war. sadly there is not much being done to preserve those Bunkers instead they are being sold to rich foreigners wich are destroing them by making thrm into Vacation Homes for themselfes wich is just horrible !!

@jonathanbarnes7981Ай бұрын
@PETEYBOY954 it's not necessarily a ridiculous comment considering it was government fund that was used to build them then there sold off to foreign investors so that they can convert them into there own personal bunkers ..... might not be a problem now but if that nation went to war it would be a funny conversation to have when they need the bunkers to house either soldiers or the civilian population in times of need ..... hey there bombing us ... I know let's go to the bunkers in the hills for safety ... oh no wait we can't the keys are in Saudi Arabia in some sheiks bed side table next to the hummus 😂😂😂😂 sorry locals the government sold them off as they didn't see a use for them 10 years ago but not the nations at war your all fucked and your ancestors paid there taxes for it just like you lot are as were going to have to tax you AGAIN to build more bunkers to keep you safe where actually have the keys to open the fucker 😂😂😂😂😂 and I am not even italian 😂😂😂😂 am fucking english so we fought against these fuckers lmfao and even I think they should keep and maintain there bunkers and history as who knows when or if they might need them

I read in Goebel's and Ciano's diary mentioning the tension over South Tyrol before the war. Could have been used as a wedge by the French and British. Seems like a huge waste of the limited resources and manufacturing capability Italy had. I'm guessing in 1943 when Italy made an armistice, that it wasn't manned to stop the Germans from coming down.

I'd love to know hoodafuk wrote the copy for the narrative and their grasp of basic historical timelines. In the early 30's the Italian concern was Austria and France both, for it was less than 100 years earlier (eg 1800's) that both empires walked back and forth over the same land, not nazis. The quoted motivation to stop the fast-charging armored infantry the nazi doctrine relied upon wouldn't be such until almost 1940, eg well after plans for such barriers would have to have been made.

But they donated their gold rings gladly, being patriotic Italians, and cheered when their troops entered Addis Ababa. That was probably the peak of Mussolini's popularity, before he got involved with the creep in Berlin.
