For the spreader tool you can use a 3/8 to 1/4 inch adapter, helped out a friend change his coil overs with this

That can work in a crunch but it will also gouge the knuckle. This tool works much better.

I just subscribed! I just picked up a M50B25 swapped 325E and I love it! I'm planning to drift mine, but first taking care of the minor things it needs (add AC as it is my daily as well, vacuum leaks, and oil leaks.) Keep up the work man! You're giving me hella inspiration to get this car done!

Possibly but the proper socket is best so you don’t mess up the cable.

Hey Blake. I hope you see and can answer this, but I'm trying to install a set of Koni STR.T front struts on my 1990 325i. The issue I'm running into is that the new struts come with a 22mm strut nut and the stock is 19mm. I had an issue getting the socket off of the 19mm as it got stuck inside of the strut mount, but there's no way to get a 22mm socket into the strut mount to properly tighten the strut nut. Do you have any advice on getting this finished ASAP? HELPP!!! I keep looking for an affordable upgrade to the front strut mount but can't find anything that isn't $350-1100....
