Don't know much about sewing but I did spend about a month building a clothing moving system in a alteration department at a Mall that had about 50 women and a couple guys who were mostly from Hungary from what I was told. It was different but an interesting project.

That sounds like a really cool job to have worked on! A clothing moving system. I always like checking out the racks at the dry cleaners when they have to find a shirt or coat 🧥 Machinery like that is fascinating!

Thanks for this! I am waiting for my needle synchronizer and a small 40mm pulley to replace the 75mm stock one. I too heard this suggestion about the synchronizer not working after slowing down an industrial, but I did not believe it, as there is no logical reason why it shouldn't work. Nice setup!

Jon, thanks for the video and experiment to see if the needle positioner would work with a reducer pulley! My expectation was that a setup like this would work. On my machines equipped with a positioner, I am afforded the pedal sensitivity to go from needle up to down or stitch by stitch as required. Does the reduction system allow the same stitch by stitch control?

Right On! 🙌 Thanks for the nice comment! I can get the Consew to go pretty slow with the reducer. Like really slow when I put the speed on its lowest setting on the servo motor. In some upcoming videos I’ll show the slow speed of it. Now with the needle positioner it’s nice to be able to heel back to lift the needle and pull the thread out easily.

This is fascinating! Thinking of getting an industrial myself and your Consew is nice. Do you think the Consew 2206RB-14-7DD would be a good machine for making your Dopp kits and other small bags?

Yes that would be a great machine! 🙌 It has the triple feed walking foot and a servo motor. Can stitch a good array of thread sizes. It is the new improved version of the machine I have. It would serve you well and you’ll have fun using it. Consew has been around forever and have reliable service and parts. Right On! 🙌

I have a 1541s but it’s not a digital servo motor. will i be able to still add one of those ?

This one will only work with a servo motor. There are some older Mitsubishi motors that have needle positioners. Hope that helps. They are very helpful in making the work a bit easier.
