I've been playing guitar for over for a year now, I play almost every day. From time to time I try to understand the theory a little more. I came here for just the barre chords progressions. But by the way you explained why you came to these progressions... a lot of things fell into place, an aha-moment really. Thanks bro
@spiritseas Жыл бұрын
cool username… just wanted to mention the account Logsounds he’s an amazing teacher sharing tons and tons of those “aha moments”. every single video has people saying it in the comment sections. 😅 also i’ll mention i’ve posted a video filmed and edited by me, and with my own music. just mentioning it because my playing is definitely very personal. i’d be happy to hear what you think and talk about theory i played it all by feeling and my own learning by ear / feeling, and have found out the corresponding theory. it’s cool getting to understand things. i’d like to get better with knowing progressions.

you can make your whole musical career with his second trick must watch for beginner guitar players before you throw away your guitar ( pro tip barr chords are easier in electric guitar ) or use a capo on first frest it will lower your strings a bit
@TheMrtimhiebert5 жыл бұрын
tried to get barre chords down forever nothing clicked for me until now. went from not even able to finger them properly to playing them easily in 30 minutes with the way this was broken down. the chord progressions make it possible to practice between the fingerings rather than working them in with open chords or solos. Better than any pay for sites i have seen by far

Great lesson, even though I am mostly lost, lol. Also having problems with the barre chord that uses the 3 fingers like the A chord, having a problem getting my 3 fingers all in one fret, but I keep trying......
@TheMrtimhiebert5 жыл бұрын
try using just your 3 finger across the 3 strings, if your like me your fingers are too big and get cramped and things get muted.
@virgilebeats30415 жыл бұрын
You'll get it eventually, It took me some time of horrible sounding barre chords until one day I woke up and it sounded decent ! Keep it up and it will work (probably sooner than you think) !
@doby1997264 жыл бұрын
The double barr is a good technique to learn in the long run for the “A” shape Barr chord. You barr across with your index finger like he shows, then use your ring finger as a “mini” barr across 2,3,4th strings of same fret, it just takes time and practice . It’s too hard for me too to fit all 3 fingers on one fret.

quick question @ 7:20 i could see you placed your finger on the second string for D minor (E SHAPE) i thought finger on second string is major and if you removed it becomes Minor (Root note on 5th strings. Correct me if im wrong am hear to learn just been confused by what other guitarist teaches on youtube slight confusing.

When you go with the firs progression, 1,4,5, they were all major chords. But how did you know they would be all major chords? And when are they minor chords? Is it the formula, Maj Maj Min Maj Maj Maj Min Dim? SImilar to the major scale with whole steps and half steps. And is there a universal rule for how to create a dimished chord? Thank you in advance to anyone who shares their insights :)

2 min in and I'm lost. Why are we playing a scale? I don't know scales. I thought this was learning bar chords. My favorite thing I learning something new and then realizing there's a step you're missing but not knowing what it is. I can't wait to go write a song about this in the same tired chords that I spired wanting to grow in the first place. What's especially exciting is now learning scales when I just wanted to learn how to play a G as a bar chord.
@lucasshoe66564 жыл бұрын
My main question is does this work with any barre chords such as jazzy chords and 7th chords and stuff, or just these specific barre chords
